sometimes, carpark surfaces can be quite irritating (ie. slippery when wet) and your ESP activates even if your tyres are good... mind sharing with us where this carpark is? i don't think you should be experiencing this too often though...

My ESP came on while entering the car park (over hump also and making a hard left).

First time I see it turn on and at the rear view mirror saw the wet tire trails.

Quite cool on how it handled the car.

Subsequently check my toto ticket WON $30 and collected it ... but ...

When I pick up my car saw a Ticket on it. cost me $30 .....

Haiz ....

@toddy

No idea ...!!! its those hump when u need to stop at the ERP type carpark ... then i push the pedal .. .there was no reaction for the car to pull off ... then the ESP kick in ... when i go into the carpark ... yeap ... streaks of wet trails like apple088 mention ... was doing only like 10-20km/h ... push the pedal slightly ... ESp went blinking and crazy ... i feel the car skid abit ... was able to catch it while turning ... (first tot ... shit ... did i just break the on board computer) ...

lunch time ... drove out ... the carpark was partially dry ... did a test ... ESP didnt come on ...

then way out on the road ... purposely tried to do "car launch" at the lights ... the car had its traction ... so i guess ... its just the wet surface + the tires not handling well in the carpark ...

so mates ... be-careful with your Merc-chilli in the wets ... =)

To be honest, when that happens, it scares the heck out of me cos it feels like the car is going to go 180 or 360 for those brief second/s. Another time was at MBS carpark! :(

Frankly, I've never had this experience with other vehicles...maybe cos it rwd?! I dunno...
