Sport Button

I have the sport button under the radio console. I read somewhere that this means my car has the Dynamic Handling Package.

So does that mean if i press on the sport button, the suspension will adjust?

I can only really feel the higher rev and more sensitive acceleration, dont really know if it adjust the suspension.

Can someone who has this, please clarify?

I am thinking of changing into a lowering spring, but am afraid that the adjustment from the sport button would not work anymore.

Thanks

Agents claims that once depress the spot button, the car will be lowered by 15mm, try it by using visual & butt feel came out to ZERO. Previously (June 2010) I've check with Eibach they don't spring for models with this option. Being me, I die die want to lowered the ride but my installer against it bcoz of these issues.

1) the suspension sets comes with a gadget which interface with the car ECU. Once it is being removed the car system will detect a fault. U will require another device to "cheat" or erase the fault code. Getting this device is a challenge too. Maybe our in house Dr Handsome Hannson can explains to you on these details.

2) Probably you will lose this option for improves accerelation etc

3) The cost of getting it done up will cost u an arm or leg.

As for changing only the lower spring, there are chances of damaging the suspension & don't know what's will happen next!!!

If u die die want it, write to Eibach who knows they might have it now or go google to look for this lower spring!! That's the reason why I advised against getting this option which usually comes together with AMG package!!

Sorry to disappoint you bro...the sport button is only for engine control. The dynamic handling is another optional item which C&C does not bring in unless you pay $$$$ & have to wait 6 months at least.

Thanks for the clarification.

So bro blackmercs, u mean that there's no easy way to lower the ride?

Yr sport button is on the console right? So near yr gear knob only M? Coz C mode is by default. Yr ride is from C&C too??

Yap is not straight forward to lower yr ride once it comes with this Dynamic thingy. Try google, I might be wrong.

Bro, now that u know your car does not have dynamic handling option, u can change your springs to Eilbach...available in MBM. Look for Kelvin or Chloe.

I am planning to get eibach from MBM.

But now kinda confused. Bro jtang said can but bro blackmerc said cannot.

Jtang thought u dont have it but u do hv this option. Just go to MBM & ask them for advise.

  • 4 weeks later...

After a few email exchanges with Eibach asking about the DHP, they convinced me that the Pro kit is suitable for car with DHP.

Here's one of the reply:

There won't be any fault code, as you change only the springs and not the damper with DHP. But keep in mind that the performance will be harder in general, because you lower the car.

If you change dampers as well, then you'll get the fault code, because the dampers with DHP are not fitted anymore.

So now anyone with DHP can lower their car with ease :music:

But of course, it's at your own risk!
