Just to "rant" a little...

Yesterday morning, drove my family out for Dim Sum brunch... driving on 1st lane of a 2 lane road.. when suddenly an Audi ahead of me.. on the 2nd lane suddenly tried to SWERVE into my lane. Obviously, he thinks he's the only vehicle on the road. No checking blind spot, no signalling etc...

What the?!?!? :censored:

HORNED and E-BRAKED (ABS kicked in... nice :bounce:) and missed by a "whisker" (stock brakes is pretty good leh).

What the?!?!? :censored:

Next time, I put a fish in my boot.. :fish:

Then again...i almost bought the A4 :becky:. I have to say the handling and drive of the A4 is very good when in Sports mode and very well equipped. However, the interior was a far cry from the Merc. Reminded me of a VW Passat and quality wise was a let down. Also, tested the 320i few times. Handling was good but the A4 was better I thought. Again, interior failed big time...I felt like I was in a Jap car...and why is there still a handbrake sticking out next to the driver's seat? In the end went for the W204. Loved the interior and exterior. The 7Gtronic was really smooth and quick, the CGI engine was sweet too. But I felt the steering was a little too light especially at low speeds. Having keyless entry and a start/stop button would be very nice too. Then again, the world's never ideal and we can't have everything we want most of the time too.

Agreed Bro, I miss the keyless, autohold from my passat cc but as u said W204 is a well balance ride and we can't have every thing ..

Actually, my first choice was the Passat CC :becky:. For some strange reason, my wife didn't like the look and the badge :ohwell:. And she insisted on a pano roof which the CC doesn't come with this option. As for the autohold, the W204 does come with this feature. Instead of a button on the dash, just press down harder on the brakes to activate Hold.

bro, you sure? my ride is pre-FL and it has auto-hold...

Pre FL auto hold is only applied on slope.

The FL auto hold function work when u r at the traffic light, it will auto hold ur car once ur car is fully stop and u don't need to step on the brake.

If your ride comes with Auto-hold...when activated, the word [HOLD] will be displayed. :becky:

Yes, it works on straight road...Step real hard on the brakes and the [HOLD] displayed. Release your foot from the brake pedal...it will hold your ride till you step on the accelerator. :bounce:
