Hi,

My merc having SBC pressure reservoir faulty after change brake fluid at C & C and giving warning alarm asking go workshop for service. And C & C ask me to renew the whole SBC at my own cost.

Is this dangerous if I continue to drive?

SBC should be done by c&C free as its a lifetime warranty issue

C&C will replace for u free for SBC fault but u need to pay around $600/- plus for brake fluid changed..I need mine couple of mths back.

It is very dangerous if u continue to drive cos u will lose the braking system.

Pls go back to C&C ASAP ....

BTW which service centre u go? I did mine at UBI...

Bro ongmk168 & Bro Sanjay,

Thanks for your info. I already book C&C pandan loop again.

I only worry they don't want to replace it for FOC due to previously sometime never go C&C for servicing.

hi Justkho78, talk to them politely and firmly and demand that the work be done foc... sbc is warranty for life... regardless if maintenance done with C&C or otherwise. Maintenance is usually about oil change and replacing wear and tear parts and there are many competent garages out there that do a good job without keeping your car for 2 days and paying exorbitant bills. C&C will usually oblige on a FOC change of SBC... do update us on the outcome

Bros, technical advisor called me during lunch time and informed that my SBC confirmed damage. They now submit report for claim and hopefully will get thru it.

In addition, they found my merc adsorber and linkage got problem and recommend to renew.... :(

If I am not wrong, the msg was SERVICE BRAKE, VISIT WORKSHOP.

Anyway, u need to go workshop and diagnose system then you can see what is the faulty. Mine is showing Pressure Servo Faulty from the computer.

Dear all,

Today I got call from C&C technical advisor and told me my merc SBC claim is approved and there will be no charge to me = 100% FOC :D.

Merc also can be ready for collection by 3pm.

Happily went there and collect the car. Althought the technical advisor was not around but all the arrangement had been made.

Actually, I wanted to talk to the technical advisor and find out what they had done on my merc. What a surprise me that even the receptionist is very technically knowledgeable and explained everything to me.

After that, noticed also they parked my merc under shelter with proper care. What a good service.

I opened up the bonnet to see the SBC. Yes, looks very brand new one.

During driving to home, the brake pedal 'grrrrr.....' still exist but the frequency already reduce 50% and there is no malfunction alarm.

It is worth for money bought from C&C.
