Pretty average - good I think,

I get about 600+ before fuel warning light, I drive 70% highway to work and back home though.

With fuel warning I think still can go another 50-60 km easily.

but don't take my word for it and end up out of gas, haha

Yes Bro, I had just top up gas last night and it hit 640 before warning lights up. Look forward for bettr result as was caught in few traffic jam.

i wonder if changing the fuel cap helps? when u all open the fuel cap does it have the hiss sound of air gushing into the tank? my w203 like dun have leh.. duno is it old car not tight liao or is it normal..

cuz on the other car (toyota) which is using the screw on type fuel cap got the sound leh..

Here are some tips on how to get BAD FC.

1. Under inflate your tyres

- when was the last time you checked your tyre pressure? If it's been a year or so, you'd likely to be under-inflated (I mean your tyres) which causes MORE drag which in turn worsens FC.

2. Road Warrior

- Nothing to do with working away from the office . If you like to Rev Hard and Brake Hard to be Numero Uno in Traffic Light Drags (nothing to do with clothes), it is likely your FC will be worsen.

3. Treating your car like a room

- Whilst waiting for your beautiful other half, stay in your car with the engine idling and aircon at full blast A great way to cool down in Hot Sunny Singapore, and a surefire way of worsening FC (since FC is based on km travelled by litre of fuel used, and you're burning fuel without moving...er.. the math would mean your FC will worsen).

4. Treating your car like a store-room

- Why keep your spare computer, car wash pail, table, chair etc at home when you can store them in your boot? Another way to Increase Weight to the car.. which in turn requires more power (fuel) from the car to pull the increased weight.

5. Traffic Pattern

*note: this is very subjective

- Why travel on the expressway when you can take the city scenic route? Loads of Traffic Light action (see 2.) and a great way to show-off your ride to discerning passer-bys . And it's easier to find a petrol kiosk to top-up (again.. and again) on city scenic routes rather than the expressway.

If you are feeling rebellious and wish to have better FC (pffttt!), just do the opposite of the above ....

Hi all, my W204 C180FL 1.6L on K&N filter with 30% city and 70% highway. Getting 9km per litre. Hope the FC will improve slightly after run-in.

Feels kind of heavy when moving off from standstill but feels good when cruising on highway with greater momentum :bounce:

Other than piggyback tuning, everything stock. Stock Air Filter, Stock Exhaust, Stock Spark Plugs.

doc hannson... 12km per litre works out to be almost 800km on 1 full tank of 66 litres... not bad... very good, in fact... :becky:

This will translate into 5.55 - 6.25km/L.

V6 is quite a thirsty camel.. :shocked:
