I hv similar problem when i tyook my car two yrs ago, the sound/nosie gets lounder and more "cracking/knocking" as days goes by especially in parallel parking.

Check with C&C, they cant find any thing wrong. Told me come back in fw months time when gets louder!!

Went back few months later and they told me they remove and retorque all bolts n nuts in steering column. Left car two days at C&C.

Now car is good.....

BTW, just got it fit 3 weeks ago by C&C.

my apologies.. my earlier description not accurate.. the creaking sound is "felt" through my feet.

I usually leave my left feet flat .. just next to the brake pedal.. and when turning the steering to the left.. i can "feel" the creaking... very obvious...

turning right (so far) is ok...

steering column issues are (obviously) important.. it's not just about the sound... just worried if the power steering is faulty *gulp*...

I found a way to "work around" for the time being.

If i move the steering to another position (slightly lower), the creaking goes away.

I've informed C&C and they will have a look at it next week.

I am sure C&C wil say " we cant find any thing wrong...come back in few months time when the noise more obvious.."

Thats what happens to me and i have to go back total 3 times before they decided to do something....

Anyway, Good Luck!!!

found my problem whilst fixing the remote start.... likely due to previous installer for my video recording camera.

I've fixed it now... :)

Had experience such problem when install Amp, the cover near foot's paddle not install properly causes the problem.

that's my guess as well... because while installing the remote starter, I had to remove the lower cover.. and I noticed that it's quite difficult to get it right..

Sent in my car last Monday to have the problem check. They came back to me saying that the bushing on the strut tower is gone. went without car for 2 days but when i got back the car, immediately i felt the steering wheel turning lighten up, just like when i first drove the car out of the showroom...

There was 1 thing that ubi see&see workshop really piss me off. When i sent it in to check steering, i told them to replace the panel around the cup cover because paint is peeling off, which wasn't suppose to be. When i got my car on Tue, the lighten steering wheel got me so engross till halfway back home, i notice the panel wasn't change at all despite job card stating "Job Done"...

Wed noon i call up the SA and told him the issue,

SA: let me check and call u back.

i waited for 2 hours, at ard 2pm

SA: i'm going for my lunch, when i come back, i check for you.

I waited for another 2 hours, didn't call back. by this time, i'm really pissed off already. i called and raised my voice slightly

Me: SA, I am still waiting for your call, have you check already?

SA: Yes sir, i check already. The part is here, they didn't change it.

Me: Can i come in now to have it change.

SA: Sorry Sorry, can you come on Fri 11am

Fri came, i went down, the reception gal also sibei attitude, give me smelly face... as if the bf/husband didn't satisfy her the night before. SA came along shortly.

SA: Sir, sorry sorry, they used the part on another job this morning.

ME: (knn, where got so coincident one) Then why you didn't let me know, waste my time to push all my appointment away to come for your nonsense. More over, when you guys write "job done", just write it for fun is it?

I was showing him the job card. Lucky, i quickly keep it back, because i notice he almost wanted to take the piece and paper and keep it. Maybe he is afraid that I use that to report up to his management.

SA: sorry sorry, i order the parts now, it should be in by 4.30pm or 5pm

I was rather busy throughout the day till 4.50pm, SA called me up

SA: Mr. Lee, the parts is in already, when can you come down

Me: I'll be there in half hour

SA: (hesitated reply) you cannot come some other time?

Me: Tomorrow?

SA: Tomorrow i not working.

Me: Then I come now lah, reach in 1/2 hr

SA: cannot come earlier than that ah.

Me: (you wan to pay for my speeding fine and point deduction issit) I'm coming from Jln Besar.

SA: Oh yeah, Jln Besar always jam.

Me: (CCB!!! Jln Besar jam, Ubi no jam lah)

Reach there at 5.25pm, saw the attitude reception again, told her that SA ask me come over to have something change. She dare to make a "che" sound. Really feel like giving her a tight slap to wake up her bloody idea.

SA proceed to instruct technician to have the parts change. Within 20mins while i'm on the phone and drinking a cup of coffee, all done.

This whole episode showed 2 things about them.

1) No integrity despite being a subsidiary of a listed company.

2) No customer orientation sense at all.

We paid a premium buying car from them compared to PI and received this kind of treatment. Serve them right for lousy business. They failed to notice that their customers are getting younger. No longer like those old towkays that generally will let them do anything they want.

I also had quite a bad experience when I sent my car to Ubi. The problem wasn't rectified, and the car came back with prints all over the dash board and sticky tap still attached. I wrote a long letter in to C&C. The next time I visited to rerectify the problem, their service improved. Even provided a temporary E250 for the duration my car was in.
