thought it would go away but 1 week later still...

As your car is about 3 yrs old (Correct?)..it's quite common to have this sour smell. 2 basic things you can try by DIY...1) change the air con filter, 2) in the morning, set your temp to highest (heater) & let the heater work for 2 mins. This will kill or dry up the mould on the evaporator coil. Repeat this for a few mornings. If still cannot...service aircon liao.:becky:

My method is full blast the air con for a minute before shut the engine. Do it 3 times a day after meal :)

if the symptom persist after few days...go visit your nearest doctor or call an ambulance...

There is moisture in the air duct

When u start the engine turn off the air con aft. 15-30 sec should be fine thereafter

Also another reason is the car mat try sunning it

Throw in a hunger hippo also helps

And I thought its only my car..... so the stale moisture smell is common among W204.

No aircon filter? is it possible ? After one minute, the active charcoal filter kicks in which mask all the smell in the car (incl durian and perfume smell) ... if no charcoal filter, the smell will persist.

Modding as in once u starts the car engine the manual circulation will turn on (closed) By depressing it will switch it off (open)? Or shut off the circulation flap for good?

I did the "sauna" method, on full heater + fan for 20 minutes... seems to have helped it a bit... will update again in a few days...
