Frankly, I miss having this. Had this feature in my GS300 but not in my W204. It was so convenient, but when batt is low or gone, hard time starting the car even though I follow the emergency protocol.

Absolutely essential. My old Volvo and my current E-cab both have this, and I can't live without it. Everytime I drive my wife's car and have to turn the key, I'm like having to reorientate myself for a couple of secs ... hehheh

Also had fumbling my pockets to have to take out the key.

I think any luxury car should have this feature but it's really not a necessity... Personally I still prefer to "stick it in", there is a connection with the car when u "twist" the key and it goes to live.... Maybe it's a man thing.......:bounce:

mine is PI car (E250 cabriolet) but it comes with Keyless go and push start button.

i have another cabriolet in the family, without the above. its abit of a hassle, especially where the keyhole is located and the shape of the key. when removing the key, also keep hitting the steering wheel.

Any bros here can confirm this?

PI always say those with keyless that they bring in is from uk to HK then here so change more hands. But not sure why the reason? Anybody can explain?

I m told those from UK usually do not have keyless!

Whereas those from HK has keyless option.

Whether it's UK or HK market, the new ride has to be registered in the respective country.

Undergo the official inspection by the respective country test centre & to be deregistered within 15 working days before they are exported to Singapore.

This 15 days limit is set by LTA to qualify the car to be registered as a new car in Singapore.

I guess this is a protection to the consumers by our garment.

Your ride is from PI, do U have the original service booklet?

my friend who is in the business, told me most PI cars will go through HK before coming to singapore. most of the PI locally also get their cars from a few suppliers only.

Why do the PI cars have to go through HK first before coming to Singapore? Are the Mercs from C&C come directly from Germany?

C&C ones im not sure. but PI company in SG "pick" their stocks from both HK and germany, as long as there are cars with the specs they wanna bring in from the open market. in some cases, PI themselves do not choose these cars themselves, the suppliers in either countries do it for them there.

i used to drive lexus is250, came as part of the standard package.

upgraded to PI merc e250 cabriolet, which didnt come with keyless go. was told that can indent but it costs like whopping 20k more.

initially a bit not used to it. and somemore when you see new cars from KIA also come with keyless go, you will feel a bit sian.

But okay la, will get used to it

I find it strange that the OMV of BMW costs much lesser than Mercedes. For example, a 5-series' OMV costs 10K less than an E-class Mercs?

Reason is Merc = The best of nothing. = since best = OMV is Best too!
