E-class cabriolet DRL LED design

Sorry guys, I saw a few E-class cabriolet on our roads with the straight DRL LED design instead of the hockey stick version. Those are the updated design from the minor facelift?

Mine is the hockey stick design. I like the straight horizontal design better. much cleaner look.

if hockey stick version wanna change to the above, need new bumpers? any lobang? paiseh if this has been asked before. thanks!

Yes, the latest design is the straight horizontal one which is a better design and look more cool! :becky:

:becky: partially agree bro Vince...my E250 Advantgarde came with the hockey stick DRL...somehow I find it very unique and I am still loving it...straight one on the other hand is very common...in fact almost all Merc models and other conti (except Audi), even many after market DRL fitted on Jap/Kor cars are also straight...just my own personal opinion. pls dun flame me hor :flame: :bounce:

I just collected my E cabrio just 1.5 weeks ago, also came with the hockey style DRL. The showrooms all still the hockey style.

mine is avantgarde with no bodykit, hockey shape design. i have another eclass cabriolet in the family on amg kit, also hockey shape design.

if i m not wrong...those straight LED on e-cab or e-coupe are from PI...those from C&C are still hockey stick shape...:becky:

for the mod...have you tried checking with C&C?...Benzline may be another option...or maybe can order from those authorised dealers too...keep us posted for your findings :music:

There are some owners with straight changing to hockey stick shape and vice-versa.

U can get that done at AutoSprize to change to the straight ones if U have the hockey stick shape. IIRC is <$1000 for the whole conversion.

was at C&C this evening with bro 6008 to attend the E-Class Learning Talk...

took the opportunity to ask the Technical Manager about the possibility of changing the hockey stick shape DRL to the straight one...

according to him C&C has the capability to retrofit but the problem is Daimler will void your warranty if they found out that you have retrofitted the DRL...

so if you really cannot tahan the hockey stick and die die must change...then I guess you have to retrofit outside C&C ... hope the info helps :becky:

Yup ! Bro Lightning and I saw a E cab with straight DRL at See&see during our E class learning nite . Frankly , it looks weird . Hockey still fit best ! My $0.02 thought . :hand:

Autospritze say its $980 (include LED lights and labour) and require 3 hours for installation. haven't went down to see the actual lights in person yet to verify whether its OEM looking like the one some of you say C&C have.

For saloon in avant-garde I prefer the straight led.

For saloon in amg still hockey rules.

All the C&C Mercs now have straight LED light and no more the hockey style. The straight LED light, in my opinion, looks nicer with the chrome at the end of each side. The hockey LED light looks kind of "incomplete"...:shocked:

actually can hardly tell...Elegance has 4 fins vs AVG has 3 fins...but I have changed mine to 2 fins...
