Actual price of our ride

According to Sunday times today ,

Presuming ;

OMV : $56000

ARF : $56000

ETax : $11200

GST : $ 4704

COE : $72000

Total : $199904 (actual cost)

If dealer selling at $257000 , simple mathematics will roughly work out the profit .

Please correct me if I'm wrong . :hand:

Not wrong, but there are other factors missing in this equation:

1) Cost of freighting the car

2) Storage costs if applicable

3) Manpower cost

4) principal office cost (eg. Daimler add a cost to Cnc , ie. Margin)

5) Cnc staff costs and commission payable

Free Kopi, cafeteria cost, free Joy rides, free buffets, advertising, promotion, all other fixed costs including staff costs, building rentals, utilities, M.I.S, telecommunications, etc

This is updated on a monthly basis ...it pretty transparent. I was told that the profit is not just for AD, they have to share this profit with the importer(Manufacturers) as well.

promotion costs like movie tickets, car workshop, very expensive staff costs, beautiful offices upstairs, official lunch appointments among staffs with business partners, air con for the super high ceiling showrooms, fat bonus to service mortgage loans for all the staffs, car allowance for top executives, business trips overseas, top them up all and still have $ to pay few percent dividend to shareholders; the overhead costs are very high indeed.
