I checked into the SGCarmart website and noticed that the price has been marked up, not sure if its due to the COE or its the 7Gtronic price.

Was informed last week and also in CnC press advert, price up $5K for almost all models with the exception of B160 & C250 due to the COE!

Good thing I got mine 3 months ago. But does the price applies to the 7GTronic version?

I just drove the Merc to KL last month, and initially thought that the steering was a tad too light when I drove fast. As it was early in the morning, the road highway was dark and I tend to swerve the car left to right until the signal lighteg to warn me. Good thing there werent much traffic. After a while, got used to and the journey was smooth thereon.

The $5K increase is due to the current high COE.

The increase is across the board not only for 7G-Tronics but for all models except B160 & C250.:hand:

Hi Vincemerc,

Before I got my new FL W204, I was driving pre FL C200 CGI.

Just 1 test drive sealed the deal for me. 7Gtronics is definitely the main reason

for the switch.

Same 1.8 L engine but different level of tuning, mine is C180 7Gtronic. 156bhp, maybe the extra tuning to 204bhp make the engine noisier.

I dun think the Engineers @ MB are idiots but I think it's a marketing ploy by MB to sell a "lousy ride" :fish:

My 1 yr old black on black 5 spd E250 CGI Avantgarde is with Republic.

Low Mileage! Guaranteed no adjustment made to the odometer.

Service records are available. They will definitely sell U @ >$50k less than a new ride. MTL lah! U will get paralysis thru analysis!

I traded in my ride to republic auto, it takes them 2-3 weeks after collecting my car to post it on sgcarmart. I would suggest you take Bro Kepiting advice,

Call RA and make them an offer !!!!

My old ride C200 CGI got sold within 2weeks, low mileage 7979 only, no odo tampering by them.

Guest Mr. M

I'm really interested to see how the new gearbox would do for the car. I've constantly maintained that the only chink in the W212's armour (for the four cylinder models) is the slow-witted 5 speed which I am surprised MB took so long to introduce for the E200/E250. Well now that it is here, I'm really looking forward to trying it! I have a feeling it would do wonders for refinement, smoothness and maybe even sportiness - if the gearbox is more willing to respond to throttle inputs.
