Hi guys/gals, just go myself a 2nd hand W211 E200K.. and did not notice this until one night infront of the bus, and found that my left LED brake light was dimmer than my right. It has lights when brake, but just dimmer than the right.

Any bro/sis here has any idea what is wrong? Else need to go back and bang table liao... :becky:

Congrats on your new ride and a warm :welcome: to the community!

Pls try not to bang table but go back to the place where U bought it and see

what they can do to rectify the problem.

It could be a "bad earthing" of the lamp or a faulty lamp that need to replace.

Hope you can settle your problem soon!

We look forward to see you at our mthly GTG which is held on the last Sun of each month @ Kallang Stadium Car Park F from 4.30pm onwards.

Single, couple or family are all welcome!!!

Thanks... I will try to go to meet up if can, but normally weekends are all family matters.. see how.

Anyway.. have told the sales and he say once all the transfer and paper work all settle, I can then send it to the workshop to rectify... hopefully it is an easy job. :music:

did u happen to pull the light knob all the way right and all the way out? (first pull = front fog lamps, second pull = rear fog lights)

if u did, u may have switched the rear fog lights on, which makes one side of the brake light brighter than the other.

hmmm. good point.. though rear fog is usually at the "passenger" side which is left.

rear fog - red and left side

reverse light - white and right side

Wrong, rear fog is at right side. Reverse light- both sides. Unlike VW lah.

Nope this happens even when I have the lights off and just depress the brakes. Only affects the top LED portion of the tail lights.

Just to update you guys in case you need to know, brought my ride down to C&C.. and no time to do as need to put the car there for like overnight, and cannot do without a car at night.

Anyway, the service guy told me that he seen this before and this could be a ECU fault. But anyhow, only can know on Friday when I send the car in again...
