i see yr post abt MMI, UMI etc and i read till very blur....

if my ride comes with the stock HU with bluetooth interface what isit call>?

as i ready some of yrs got GPS, mine only have reverse cam

What's your ride and what do U have on your ride?

mine 2010 c180 cgi... no gps. only reverse cam within the HU and bluetooth:Cry:

Yours likely what we call Audio 20!

1. There are option to change your existing screen to bigger screen & higher resolution.

2. MMI or after market - Multi Media Interface. - it;s a black box that sits between your HU & your LCD screen. Your HU video harness goes into this black box instead of going to your LCD screen. The after mkt MMI will have a similar output harness from it to plug into your LCD screen.

From the aft mkt MMI, U can plug in Garmin GVN 53 for GPS Navigation, DVD Player, Digital TV, etc cos it usually has 3 AV inputs plus a RGB input for Garmin GVN53 plus an extra input for RC which U do not need.

3. UCI - some call it Universal Consumer Interface, some call it Universal Communication Interface.

Probably your car got an auxillary input for your mp3 player or iPod/iPhone

The UCI is connected to your Audio 20 HU/Comand NTG 4.

On the input of the UCI, U will have 3 cables.

1 cable for Auxilliary input, 1 cable for USB thumb drive, i cable for iPod/iPhone with charging.

All your songs playing thru this UCI will have display on your LCD screen, steering control and instrument cluster.
