Sad! Sad! Sad! The helicopter sound is still there. When I reached home just now, I purposely off the air con and was hoping that I won't hear any "chop chop chop" sound:ear:. Sad! Due to the still of the night, heard very clearly, the sound was still there:doh:. My car was stationed in a parking lot and I moved to the back passenger seat and heard that sound coming from below the floor board of the left seat:suspicious:. Sigh..... Have to go back and ask the mechanic to molest my ride again. Dont understand what is making that helicopter sound?:noidea: Sianz.....!

Yr exhaust is on the left side? If yes, check the bolting & mounting on the entire exhaust system. Sometimes mounting loosen & due to vibration the helicopter is landing :).

not bad bro...buy a W212 and get a helicopter FREE...sounds more like the Apache or Black Hawk... hope not a Chinook :pound:

Joke aside...Do you think it could be from your twin exhaust? Btw, did you check if they are factory fitted or done locally...

Bro.,

How will you hear the sound? Is it only when full turned the steering wheel?

I heard "loud noises" in 1 E Coupe at full steering wheel turn.

IMHO not usual!!

Mine has sound but not loud noise. Found it to be common when you full steer the wheel. You should be able to hear it vaguely even when car is in station.

Any loud noise might indicate the power steering pump is about to leak.

Uncle, i still owe you something..Will try to meet up sometime soon.

I want to give that chopper away since it was given to me free . Anyone interested ? Hehehe...

I reckon it's factory fitted cos I seen my car the very next day it arrived . It was not even washed and was with all those dust and protection stickers . Probably it's time to get it's birth certain .

wah ... sounds bad ... pray for recall order from germany ... w212 report for "re-service (reservist) "

Actually mine is a PI(UK) car . The sound is actually bearable but just feel that it shouldn't have that kind of noise . Called my workshop and they asked me to go back again . Will go in a few days time and update further .

Hi Bro,

get the mechanic to double check exhaust and pipings' mountings, the "tuck..tuck...tuck ....sound might be knocking from the exhaust pipings; they are pretty close to the car body.

I had that silly sound coming from the rear pax seats too. Took it to pandan loop looked for a guy called hanapi he diagnoised it as some regen valve was faulty i.e contiously on hence the sound. May wanna check with him. BTW my car is a W204 so dunno if this helps or not.
