Hi all, was wondering if there is a possiblity of changing the current new C class w204 headlight to the bi-xenon with the inverted c locally?? As i know only c350 and PI models come with it, was hoping the unit bought frm c&c can be converted also....

A warm :welcome: to U Benson and hope U enjoy your stay with us!

We look forward to see U at our GTG which is held on the last Sunday of each month at Kallang Stadium Car Park F from 4.30pm onwards.

Families & couples are also :welcome:.

U might be able to buy the whole headlamp assembly but your ride is not fitted with auto levellers which the C350 have.

Current your headlamps level can be adjusted manually from your dash.

If U do not retrofit the bi-xenon with auto levellers, it's not LTA friendly.

Since the FL C Class is pretty new, after market retrofits will slowly enter the market.

IMHO be patient and soon these retrofits will be made available.

Those who in the knows will be likely our site sponsor Benzline who carry a wide range of accessories for MB.

Meanwhile - stay tune!!!! :hand:

I will be testing a retrofit with all the proper components once my ride arrives :)

Welcome :)

Turning problems to opportunities.....hehehe!

If successful will be good for U & the community here.

With your experience, think it will be a walk in the park.

just feel, it is a pity that the bixenon light cannot be retrofitted with LED, most of the feedback is HID goes well with the new DRL and default yellowish bulb seem to cannot bring out the look of the new FL c-class, perhaps CnC can offer this retrofitting some time later.

Guys,

Wait for Bro Hansson to do his own DIY retrofit on his new FL C180.

He's in this kind of business anyway!

So be patient, let him test his retrofit on his own car first.

I believe his retrofit will include the original auto levellers for the headlamps too.

If U guys can't wait, go pm him for more info.

Till this day CnC also can't do Comand!

CnC always prefer not to do retrofits.

Yes thanks to them. If not we wouldn't get a good deal :)

Now beside Comand, we have people who can retrofit not only iPod connections but also UCI.

Workshops that can retrofit AMG Steering with Paddle shifts.

Workshops & installers that retrofit aft mkt MMI with GPS, RC, DVD, Dig TV.

Now we need people who can do MB Logo front brakes and retrofit bi-xenon headlamps.

Past Bi-xenons were all done without auto-levellers and loss of headlamp height adjustments.

One tough nut to crack is the locked ECU.

Dun think many owner want potential tuner to rip out the ECU to do the remapping.

Hi Ryeoh1969,

Frankly, I am a layman in this, I do not know if retrofitting done by external workshop other than the agent, will the warranty void or any issue with LTA in term of compliance, example the illumination factor of the bulb as compared to the original factory fitted type, this is my fear, of course, who would wants to spend the $5300 which is really expensive for 2 set of intell-light package.

Perhaps, we should find out what is the different between those installed at CnC or external workshop. We can compare the workmanship or breakdown of jobs required for such retrofitting. For $5300, CnC may have also includes something else extra we don't know of.

Else, we can also wait for Bro Benson to start the ball rolling as suggested by Bro Kepiting1sg.
