W211 Keyless Go Door Handle Problems

Hi,

Last year I have changed 3 door handles because they could not detect the car key. In less than a year, one of the handles is defective again and I was advised the cost is $400 by C&C.:Cry:

My car was registered in 2007. Does anyone else have such issues and is there a way to repair the handle instead of buying a brand new one?

Advice greatly appreciated.

I had the W211 for a yr without problem.

Dunno it will work or not!

Someone told me try to insert the key once awhile to start the engine so it will be "reminded" to detect the key!

Tried that to no avail. Cannot understand why the handle cannot last even a year. Quality really sucks big time.:tsk:

Should speak to their service mgr and no good reply write to Daimler SG to complain!

If U are the 1st owner that's fine.

If U bought it used, U can re-register on-line as the new owner @ CnC on line.
