IIRC, your speed limiter is turn on!

The speed limiter is the same stalk as the cruise control on the W204, dunno if it is the same as your ecab. Look at the cruise control stalk, if there is a marking says (LIM) there, that is the speed limiter. Moving the crusie control stalk forward or backward (or upwards or downwards, can't remember) activates the cruise control, pressing the stalk towards the steering activates the speed limiter.

But, if speed limiter is activated, I don't remember hearing any chimes. The car can't go beyond the speed limit set that's all.

Hope above helps.

Hi Bro,

The only soft chime I hear so far is when passenger forget to put on seat belt when car is moving. Check if the seat belt light is on in the dashboard when you drive. Possibly faulty seat belt sensor?

I have the same "extremely soft, almost inaudible chimes" problem. However, I do not need to be crusing at a certain speed to hear these chimes... they seemed to be present at any speed range.

Mine is also a PI car from UK....

Is your car from Prestige?

hi bro, my ride is not frm Prestige. The audible chime at regular intervals is audible only at speeds above 100 and its still present, i am just getting used to it. Almost like taxi...lol

IMHO, if all things failed, then locate the source & "killed it" i.e physically disabled it.

i think it will be good to have it in my ride especially when driving on NS Highway, at least u have a warning that u are exceeding legal speed limit there if u hears it...:bounce: , next weekend will test it when i drive up to KL...:music:
