Hiya Folks,

I've just gotten a 2005 C180K Coupe.... well, almost showroom condition for an 05 car.. So, I couldn't help but to trade my trusty mazda(well, i did get a handsome profit considering all cars takes a dip in prices and mine didn't... The new "old" Merc has done 100000km this far, and I've done the usual oil change and transmission fluid at AutoSpritze the moment I step foot into it.

Because this would be my first Merc, I thought I could get some of you folks who's been driving Merc for all these years to tell me if there're potential problems I could look out for...

Anybody with the same makes in this forum. Well, I haven't seen much of 05's Coupe on the streets though... Can I confirm my make would be a W203 if I were to purchase anything from Ebay? Would Ebay be the only source I could get parts from though?

Also, I'm keen to find out more about the modifications I could get out of this car... other than the ECU reflash and a bigger pulley... To what I'm told, this is, about the max I could do before "not cost effective" modifications comes in..

Thoughts folks out there?

Welcome & congras on yr new ride. Look at yr chasis nos or logcard shld stated WDD203xxxxxxx etc, the first three nos will indicate yr car model nos. Yr ride shld be W203 model. As for modding, the usual stuffs like change rim size, lowered spring, Bodykit, HID, pedal sets & many more. Before we can advise you what to mods do show us some pics of yr ride (interior & exterior). Or if possible do join us the kopi session or monthly gtg, if really can't wait pm yr Contact nos to me, we do offline.

lols, I have been through poison before with my older ride before the Mazda... Was driving a Saab Aero 2.3l, and I was single then, so I could take the Aero to 485bhp... The engine, the turbo, intercooler, the whole damn ECU, pipes, brakes, bilstein b8 shocks etc etc... Probably change just about everything I had to change.. damn, it's a killer car... What's bad would be the 4-5km per litre if i gas hard... lols and then, life has it for me to get married, and to get a house.. haiz... I became poorer, and I guess the only way was to sell the fuel guzzling Aero(I suspected the gear transmission was going to give way already.. lols... and make way for the rest of my obligations...

What I have now is half my life back... lols.., and all I could afford is an 05 C180K... Would have love something better, but..... life goes on... Looks like My C180k is pegged with limited modification i can do... Being already a technical idiot most of the time, well, people say, I'll listen... The whole idea of a supercharger vs a turbocharger was a new dimension for me... Was hoping to bring the car to a nice 250-280bhp... would be nice.. lols...

Not only the PCD but the offsets are equally important.

Depends on rim sizes and staggered or not staggered!

wahahaha, you don't know man bro.. I press them to hand over tomorrow, but may take 3 days... Will go 3 ways in a months from now... link foundation now... but managed to hang on to the stock head unit, but ended up paying for an audio processor...

My previous ICEd W124 & W203 used to take 6 to 9 months to finish project!...hehehe! :becky:

I used to get avg. 12km/ltr or 8.3L/100km on my previous W203.

It can get as low as >16km/ltr on the highway at 70 to 80 km/hr.

Maybe could be due to I "sunat" the cat conv. to "thru it" in it earlier days when I mod the ride.

12?!?! wa, i never got that!!! sunat the cat conv? sounds not very "PAP" to do it.. lols Will be doing the reflash ECU thingy very soon though, hopefully that helps...

I'm trying to get some stuff from Ebay, but i don't see anything under C180k, but I'm seeing W203 C230.. Any good fellows who would be willing to tell me if C180k's parts is the same as C230? I mean they all say W203....

If I read some where U mentioned your ride is 2 door coupe right.

Then the right term for your ride is call CL203 and not W203:hand:
