Hi bros,

Need advice, assistance and info about the possiblity of upsizing the rear stock rotor for W204 C180K? Brake caliper possible remain if rotor upsized. Maybe a better grade brake pads to go with shld it be neccessory. Anyone has done it and with yr current ride. And if so, pls help me state the brand and sources from (local or online)?

I have intention to upgrade only the frt BBK to 4pot (Brembo or Alcon or AP racing) but rear upgrade like my above quote. Hear from you guys. thx all. :music:

Just take the full upgrade from benzline approx 5k for full back and front amg calipers 6pot front with 4pot rear with upgraded rotors. Not only will they match in terms of looks but stopping power will be more evenly distributed instead of just the front doing more of the work.

Another alternative is just upgrad the brake hoses to stainless steel and change the pads to a performance type eg ebc greenstuff. Those 2 upgradeds alone should yield much better braking performance for a everyday ride. If you want a purely cosmetic upgrade there's always those fake brembo caliper covers just stick and go from places like autobacs or eBay.

Upsizing the rotor size is possible be it conti or non conti brand as the brake mechanism is the same. I m sure you knows where to get the rotor, the usual places or ask our site sponsor for advise.

If upsize rotor the intention is to have more pad on the bigger disc. So if caliper remains same then the braking effect is the same still brake pad surface remain unchanged. Assuming of course the changed rotor is still normal iron disc.

Another complication with upsizing is the bracket to hold your calipers need fabrication since the original mounting position maybe different when rotor is upsized.

Furthermore bigger disc may usually mean higher unsprung weight which may in turn reduce the cars pick up since more effort to turn the heavier disc.

IMHO upsize rotor more for cosmetic so changing all should be a better upgrade option. Just my humble opinion. :)

Likely 17" will not clear the brakes but most 18" rims will!

IMHO Bro rssid to upgrade front/back with 6/4 from Benzline package most sensible at $5K

Again rim size dosent matters for BBK, is the design of the rims. My 19" couldn't fit in any BBK :)

As for the rotor size shld cover as much as possible of the internal diameter of the rims. if you merely going for the aesthetic looks. Whether require to change any mechanism to accommodate this changes or not, I doubt so. Remember to spray the rear to black color since you only mods the front brake. By doing this, the rear brake can be "hidden" from view.

Hi bros,

Appreciated all the good advices and the downside.

Definately Benzline package was damn geniune and I am in serious thought till this moment but yet I consider this will be a very expansive cosmetic upgrade dont all agreed? Unless our ride was a C300 or better. Our horses don't require such great stopping force and it's under utilize.

The reason for my intention was to have a possible even contribution of brake force to all wheels factoring that W204 are RWD. Of course there will be or have blind areas that needed to mod inorder to get it work.

I have seen many BMW 3series, Audi A3, A4 have such set up with frt 4pot w/ crossed drill or upsize rotor (Endless, AP racing, Brembo, Winwood etc).

Hope to hear more, tx bros.

If all you want is a cosmetic upgrade then the brake caliper covers will do.

If you want something that works and distributes brake forces evenly get a full and complete set.

If you want performance on the cheap just do the brake hoses and pads.

That's why I said most 18" will clear & not likely 17".

Not only wheel design but wheel offset too.

If going on AMG 6/4 pots front rear - no need any spray painting of rear calipers!

$5K with AMG 6/4 pots is a steal.

Too bad that hardly pay for the front for W212.
