Comand Retrofit

Hi guys just interested to know from the bros who did the retrofit, did you have the axial fan installed as well as the ducting ?

If not, does the command unit seem to get uncomfortably hot in our weather ?

Any issues like error messages popping up anywhere ?

Anyone's command totally failed/blacked out due to overheating ?

Thanks all for your comments as i'm planning to do the retrofit with bro camber53 soon ! Will try and put up pics if he lets me of the install and hardwork involved !

No extra fan! No overheating problem that I initially thought I would face!

No error msg! No pengsan or blackout! Drink more herbal tea.....hahahah!

installed mine with bro camber about few weeks liao. during this time, parked under hot afternoon sun without shades for good 6-7 hours. no fan and stuff.

no crazy error msg, no unusual behavior observed. i kindda like the navigator's voice. ^^

best mod so far, and practical.

Since Nov '10 - A good 5 months & enjoying it!

Though I still have the Garmin GVN53 connected to the after mkt MMI - To be honest I dun use it as I found the Command GPS maps good enough!

It even works in tunnel like the KPE. When there lost of signal, the Command GPS navigates by the car speed.

I have not try the maps for MY though!

Nice to have 6 Disc DVD Changer - Think to save some $$$ - Single DVD is good enough.

The Music Register can keep 6Gb music, the Memory Card takes more than 16Gb. And if U have UCI with iPod/iPhone + USB - No more need for CDs anymore.

Get Camber to instal reverse cam to the Command!
