Re-circ issue

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to permanently have the re-circulation on for W212? Yesterday i got caught in very slow traffic and it keeps going off every 2 mins or so. Very frustrating.

Anyway, you have the vent programmed to minimal opening..frankly, dont really help.

The W204 is programmed to be active for 30 minutes before it lets external air in. The W212 only sustains re-circulation for 2 minutes each time??? That's mad. Bring it back to C&C and get them to re-programme it?

Mine w212 is not constant . Sometimes 2-5 mins , sometimes 10-20 mins . From what I know , no way to re-programme . Silly setting ! Not for our country for sure . Maybe Europe air quality is better . Anyone knows where to programme pls start a thread to inform all our bros here . Thanks in advance .

No bro.... I very sensitive to outside smog. My wife's Scirocco have to switch on circulation all the time when car starts. If not, I will notice outside smog coming in within minutes. But not the case for my W211. Hmm..... wonder why....

Uncle, it is becos 1) W211 re-circ resets every abt 20+mins, 2) unless stationery behind a van or following really foul smelling lorry, the outside smell is minimal (I think W211 carbon filter quite effective). I have monitored for quite some time liao :becky: On NSW I forgot to reset the button sometimes for extended distance becos there is no smell at all, only freshness (re-circ off u will feel fresher, more oxygen I guess). Longer re-circ time is one of the few points that makes W211 more practical to me. Hope someone can crack or force Merc-SG to do special programming for W212. Cheers!
