i got a better trade in offer from C&C instead of PA.

one thing abt OOOO tho, it's nice n all but somehow the feeling was that i'll be overpaying for a VW when i was test driving it.

plus RWD vs FWD, that made a difference too.

DITTO!!! i think the same too. the best or nothing ^_^

No worries lah. My CLC tailpipe also cut & weld but sold my ride within 3 yrs.

Confirmed with my SE today. The welding they did for me for the Chrome exhaust tip (mine is the single chrome pipe encasing the 2 skinny tailpipes) will pass the LTA test.

I don't believe they cut the tailpipes. Look the same length to me.

I have changed my tailpipe recently. I bought it at BL and they recommended a shop to fixed the pipe. And yes, it involved some cutting to the original pipe, minor wielding, and fix the chrome pipe. Similar to the C200. all done in less than 45mins.

Yap usually there is a small cut coz the mod tail pipe is shorter than the stock.

Nice mod !!what's the damage!

Thanks bro... it's $120.

waiting time to put my car onto the host had cost more than that... hahaha...

FK had the single oval shape tail pipe that looks like those on C200, just that without the amg wording...

might a abit more cos they need to do bit more work.

at least it's better than cnc quoted me $350... duh...

hi guys do u know if the c180K BE has auto leveling or it is just manual one? getting my car next tuesday, a little excited. if there is auto leveling then technically can install HID since this seems to be in line with the regulation

My C180 CGI registered 1st October does not have auto-levelling nor HID. Not sure about the Kompressor folks?

Even if the headlights are halogens, you can still go HID. Ask some of the bros here who have converted already. :)

My C180K (non-BE) does not have auto levelling, and I doubt your BE has it as well. Just check whether there is a dial near the headlight switch that let you adjust the shining height of your headlight. If there is, means it does not have auto levelling.

New LTA law (dunno w.e.f. when) says that only cars with auto levelling are allowed to have HID lights.

Well, LTA-friendly or not, as with most things in Singapore, do it but don't get caught! Be prepared for the consequences if you do!

Sure u can install the HID, I took a risk & bring in $100 HID (2 sets-low beam & foglight) not sure whether is error free or not but it's works. At that time HID asking price about $300~400 & not many ppl aware of such cheapo products can fit onto Mercedes. If you prefer better quality you can get it from our site sponsor, Philips HID brand. Go to CLC thread, all my cheapo mods information are there, such as lower spring, LED, DRL, rims, HID etc.

Bro, during our time, don't have this law yet.

Just googled and found that this take effect from 1 Jan 2010:

With effect from 1 January 2010, LTA will require all newly registered vehicles, except motorcycles, fitted with HID headlamps to be equipped with an auto-levelling feature.

Source: http://www.onemotoring.com.sg/publish/onemotoring/en/lta_information_guidelines/modifications_and_vehoffences/modification_guide/hid_headlamps.html

So if your car is registered before 2010, can fix HID even if don't have auto levelling, that's how I interpret the above.

BTW, I've changed my factory xenons on my non-merc from 4300k to 8000k. Last month went inspection passed with flying colours, only the dark tint need to tear off... and paste back again... waste $$$....

today saw one white w204 with DRL iirc zooming along scotts road, few days back saw a w204 at science centre with SL grill. both real nice!

oh mayb just one "performance" mode, change to K&N filter if available for 1.6L.

Suggestion, how about painting your grille to match your car colour? Did this last time, interesting to DIY it.

Or just get one from ebay, lots of choices:

After weeks and days of waiting I have finally gotten my C180K BE. SE has been thorough in the walkthru and I gotten my BB9780 paired with the BT telephone on my ride. Still figuring out how to sync contacts but no too impt now.

I also have an aux input on the left side of the glove compartment while on my side I see a headlight levelling dial next to my headlight function. So may I ask with this would HID be ok to install? Hmmm... Playing with this 0 means shine higher while 3 lower.

Found out storage in the C is limited And chubbyholes are quite tight or shallow but really happy with the boot since my ex ride was a hatch. Just gotten be selective of what to have in the car then.

Finally my Audio20 comes with a 6discs changer and I did notice radio slightly fading in and out when on highway. Will monitor this.

*Gladness*
