My chrome tail pipe was welded on by C&C as part of the package. I don't think they will do it if it was considered illegal.

Exhaust system

(e.g. exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc.)

The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation:

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

Certifications or test reports from LTA/NEA recognised test laboratories to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle.

Vehicle owners found modifying or tampering with the exhaust system may face a Court fine of up to $1,000 or 3 months' imprisonment upon conviction in Court.

The statement from onemotoring about exhaust modification did not mention about tailpipe nor any of the piping. it just merely mentioned the main component of exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers.

LOL, tampering & modification is good enough to take action against you. If u can prove that tailpipe. Is not part of the exhaust system then probably no concern at all.

My objective is let u guys know that when you mod u must prepare to accept the fate & not discourage u guys from modding. Alot of ppl got away during inspection, like HID, foglight , exhaust etc & live to tell. That dosent means is legal.

Anyway, trust me, I love to mods & also will prepare for the consequences too.

Kekeke. I luv modding too. But this ride will just do minimal. So my list really is just pedals, exo tip or legal muffler, sunshades for my Missus and son (saw the post by unker) and if saves enuff then Comand. Comfort come first now.

Bro Berlok not sure if u asking me on my car's net price. If yes the details in my first post. Btw I think all c180k are out C&C doors liao coz see them advertising demo units.

One of my friend was keen on the C180K and I was told C180K no more liao.. only a few C200 CGI. I believe all will be sold before the end of the week.

After that, they should be selling the FL model.

i got a better trade in offer from C&C instead of PA.

one thing abt OOOO tho, it's nice n all but somehow the feeling was that i'll be overpaying for a VW when i was test driving it.

plus RWD vs FWD, that made a difference too.
