Hi everyone

i have join this forum to learn more about the W204 back in 2009... it has been most exciting reading all the mods and bodykits that were posted by owners and thinking when can i get the chance to own such a marque.

Well finally me and my missus took the plunge last saturday and book the last remaining C180K before C&C brings in the facelifted models. The SE has been most helpful and probably since last few units i thought the discount was decent.

List price is 163,888 and i got my 4K SC and 4K OT converted into cash discount, on top of that SE gave me another 4K. Adding to this, since i didnt need reverse cam SE gave an added 1.3K but my wife managed to squeeze another 200 to make it 1.5K... so total discount from list price is 13,500.

i am driving a ZC21 Suzuki and trade in was not that great if look at singularly... i got 22,000 but SE gave me some added value with an additional 1.5K SC (for servicing) and 8 free pick up in case i too busy to send in my car myself. Usual freebies included a Huber Optiks film and local fitted 4-pt reverse sensors.

SE bidding for me COE this 2nd round April so hope to get it else will be in May. Ride will be Obsidian Black + Alpaca Grey leather (hope it is not artico, bros pls correct me).

Happy to be joining this forum and hope to get more info from bros and sis here... mods i am using my old vehicle plate number since my ride is not here... possible to update it in future or it doesnt matter?

cheerios

nope, i do not believe it does... i forgot to ask SE what is the YOM of my c180k. hopefully late2010, 2011 even better... webby using DRL models in the configurator but i seriously doubt mine will have. Any owners who bought their c180k in recent times got the factory fitted DRL? I would love to and would be a pleasant surprise :)

Was advised by SE that there is no more stock for C180K and just a couple of C200 CGI left. They will be lanuching the FL model after they clear the stock.

Any bros here have any ideas of the pricing for the FL model ? Specs as well ? Supposed to have a 7 Speed Gearbox, just wondering whether the gearbox would be the same on used on the current V6 C class.

Looks like the SEs have gotten more flexible when its time to push sales. They were not prepared to convert my reverse cam to discount when I booked mine back in Nov'10. I too got the usual freebies like solar film, reverse sensor, chrome exhaust.

Anyway , good discounts and welcome to the forum.

SE believes that the new c class will only be available in showroom in Jun. Pricing like all good SE would is higher than current models. :)

we will only know later. Anyway SE say that my YOM is 2011, will confirm again when I know my VIN.

Hoping to add some nice pedals and the "oo" tailpipes sorely need some chrome tips. Bro any idea? So far only enquire on the AMG pedals and exo tip from BL.

I bot my sports pedals from BL and the chrome tailpipes I got it from MBM. Both are site sponsors for this website. One thing, BL usually just supply and they do not provide any services for installation etc. You would need to look for their recommended workshop if necessary.

Have fun with your new car .....

Thank you bro. May I ask how long to took to do the pedals? Tailpipes are just bolt on type correct? First stop after getting car is gas station then off to MBM and BL. Hahaha.

A really noob question. The seats from CnC are in real leather from factory or local? Paiseh coz reading the brochure the alpaca grey can also in artico material.

The sport pedal, I install them by myself, not such a diffcult job but you can check with them for their recommendation for workshp to install the pedals.

As for the tailpipe, not so straight forward, needs to cut the original as well as some welding.... give yourself at least 3 hours.

Finally, leather seat is original from factory but i do not know what is the material ....

Ask yr SE to purchase for u, will save u some mula. For tail pipe installation there is one at Alexandra area. Ask yr SE to point u the direction. Pedal set is plug & play shouldn't take u more one hour.

thanks guys, hmmm... cut and weld would that fail Vicom inspection? Vicom inspector once told me before when i had my remus inspected on my current jap ride since welding constitute an exhaust mod.

SE offer her name as price guarantee haha, will prolly get her to call before i go buy them...

Yes!! Been telling alots of ppl abt welding any parts of the exhaust system will fail the inspection. But if u like it, why not? Since u hv 3 good years before inspection :).

No lah, ask her to get it for you then straight away drive yr car to Alexandra & get it install.

+1. Ask your SE to get it done for you before car delivery, save you the time and hassle. They can do for you, just that whether they wanna give you this 'extra' service or not.

I will be surprised if installation of the tail pipe will fail the inspection... there is no mod to the exhaust, they cut the twin pipe and put in the cover and weld the holder to the exsisting exhaust. There is no mod to the exhaust at all, just a cover was added. It is like any "bolt on" that we buy off car accessories shop.

It is good that you check as well to prevent issue in the future.

Modding the tailpipe itself is not illegal bro only if you change/operate the muffler box itself without getting LTA approval or a LTA approved muffler will you fail inspection
