bro, i don't have this problem... it's nonsense when they tell you that "1 wheel forward, 1 wheel backward"... bullshit... it's a mercedes benz, not some asian make... the installation and alignment is VERY IMPORTANT when it comes to wheels, brakes, suspension systems, anything to do with the undercarriage... if your problem is a genuine one, it could be a batch problem... but then again, how come we haven't heard any other w204 guys complain about this? i am guessing most likely the alignment was not done properly... my suggestion is to not bring it to C&C because they have the liberty to reject your vehicle as you have made a modification already... bring it to StarBlack and let them settle it for you... it should be a simple problem of alignment...

i thought of that too... to seek 2nd opinion 1st.... If they have done it like 2hrs, I would have just ask them to go ahead with it. 5 hrs, and they require much more time if I go with the "bolt fix".

My W204 we registered in 1st Oct 2010, dun think theres a batch issue like this.

It funny, I can understand that when lowered springs, camber and toe may be misaligned, but 1 wheel forward and the other backward is appalling especially from the 3 stars. I can take it if its a re-con or pre-own as the previous owner might have crashed it or something, but this is brand new....

Need Advise here...

I'm having Eibach spring on my W204 for the past 3 years and now had a tick sound whenever I reverse my car with half or full turn.

What is the problem and how to resolve the tick sounds?

Hi bro chiaster,

Finally gotta time off to view, shared and joined this forum and others after weeks of busy work and lately heated elections. :bounce:

Decided to lower my ride w/ KW lowering spring after enjoying my W204K comfort rides for 3 yrs. Seek geniune advice fm expertise [Kenny's alignment and LS, kelvin and Mcwell since my installation was with them] before the installation. So brought my ride to C&C at pandan Loop to rectify this fault under 'wheel alignment' 1) knockg sound when full lock steering wheel while reversing, 2) steering wheel nt straight while driving on straight line on either highways or minor roads - approx. pointg left [between 11-12 o'clock position] and 3) veer off to the left for sure.

Initially, the C&C technician adviced that it cld be due to wheel rotation but I just did with LS weeks ago, then was adviced that tires uneven wear that may cause but just gotta this set of tires together with LS too! After he went for a test drive without my presence. Finally, the rectification begin and the perform list are:

1) swap both frt wheel before alignment with their state of art MB computer system.

2) left camber/caster at frt-axle adjusted.

3) Changed TS bolt 2 sets @ S$92.45 incl gst.

4) Vehicle alignment report. F.O.C

All in damaged at S$ 259.40 incl gst despite my best effort to hve it as warranty claims but was advice no warranty for this job even ride are new. However I was delighted that my ride was perfect after and to my surprised, my dad even phrase my ride CSC3 tires are good bcoz it's quiet!!:music:

2 weeks past, I installed the KW spring. Ride lowered, firm and beauty. Alignment chart report obtained fm Mcwell and the alignment remain and nt affected. But am experiencing now a knocking sound for the rear spring whenever goin over hump and mscp turns. But at slower speed the knockg sound disappeared. Will hve that resolve soon and update you guys accordingly. Any bros experiencing this as well?

Bro power69, your tick sound are fm frt wheels or rear wheels whenever you reversed with steering wheel at half tp full turns? Pls advice, tx:hand:

Bro Skoder, vibration fm the spring are more pronounced bcoz of the lowering spring for sure bcoz each lowering spring set comes with different spec. ie: spring rates. Sport and comfort are diff. Remember that our damper are stock which served comfort mode. Unlike coil over where there are setting for the ride and some at least hve a basic adjustment for 1-Comfort, 2-Sport and 3-Hard. I hope I was correct. Pls advice, tx all. :becky:

Hi Hkhamateur

Thanks for the details updates on your ride.

My car's tick sound is from the Front wheels; only when I do reverse the car?

Thanks

Hi bros power69 & io5885,

Currently my ride was upgraded w original 18" AMG VI rims and C&C rectify the pb wo any argue. The knockg or clickg sound presented when I'm fitted w 19" replica AMG rims previously and this 18" rims. Never had i hve this pb w my original advantgarde 17" rims.

Understand fm LS, kelvin tat many W204 & W211 faces this defects and he strongly advice to head dwn to C&C. Try askg for a warranty claims possible if within 3yrs ownership. Let's us knw the outcome. Tx bros. :becky:

My ride had past the 3 years warranty already.

I'm not going back to C&C.

My workshop guys had predicted it is wear & tear on my Eibach spring after 3 years on the car.

Any comments?

I beg to differ all mechanical parts do hv life SPAN. Only the makers can advise accordingly.

Ok, Alignment fixed, went to one shop that sells rims to do the alignment for 50 bucks.

No need $200 which FK requires for the bolt. Already give them $160 for the fixing of springs and alignment.

Just to share for the bros here, there were already 3 of our sgmerc's bro who bought the same spring from the same supplier and have them fixed without the "bolt". Be careful when u choose your installer.
