Any recommendations guys?

Since staggered can't rotate tires, how often at what mileage should we change tires?

Thinking of changing to 18 inch staggered but won't be lowering my ride , will still look nice Bo?

Bridgestone Touranza GR 90!

I m using them staggered!

245/40/18 front

265/35/18 rear

After 11k km still as quiet as day 1

ditto... i think Bridgestone Turanza GR90 offers the best of comfort, quiet yet good grip compromise of all.

But the last quote i got, GR90 is more expensive than Michelin Pilot Sport 3.

My friend is using PS3 - 18 inch non staggered for his A3 and he is pretty happy with the performance of the tires. I am not sure aboue the Bridgestone GR-90. These two tires would be the two that I would like to try in the future.

I usually use tirepac for guide for prices ...

I read in another forum that CSC5 is damn good, they write until like pigs can fly like that.

Did some price checking, rough prices are as follows for 19 inch staggered:

CSC5 : $2,400

GR90 : $1,900

thereabout....

.

Anyone know gr90 18 inch staggered cost how much?

Bro, just call a few to check, namely Leong seng, Hurry, Poh heng & AL Tyres...

Compare the prices and MTL...

BTW, your inbox is full, can't reply to your PM. Answer you here, my previous set of rims, front left was very slightly 'clipped'(damage), re-sprayed and looks almost ok, except can't get back the rainbow finishing...

PS3 19" sizes very limited.. only about 3 sizes locally.

for staggered setup best performance, it has to be CSC5-P

If you guys notice, the front size and rear size thread design is different. rear size tyres has one more rib optimized to meet the specific requirements of front & rear wheel axle positions..

front and rear picture for comparison.

Does PS3 come in 235/35/19 or 235/40/19?

nope, PS3 locally is 245/40ZR19,255/35ZR19,255/40ZR19

For 235/35R19 go for CSC5-P.

But if you are die hard fan of Michelin, wait for a month or two, and Pilot Super Sport will be available in 235/35R19

Thanks, Unker... Bo 19" leh... Looks like I'll have to look at other brands for 235/35/19... By the way, would you know if I can go 235/40/19 on my current rims? Increase the sidewall height a little so that ride comfort increases a bit and decrease the wheel well gap... :)

What a bummer... I was hoping to try out the PS3 since it's touted to be the "Holy Grail" in performance tyres... Oh well...

Any reviews for CSC5-P?

I was also hoping that my current set-up allows me to go 235/40/19 so that ride comfort is improved and less importantly, close off the gap further in the wheel well...

Advise from the seniors and gurus here?

:)

I'm on Nitto Invo tires and on 19' staggered. Ride quality is good and quiet, plus the trend for Invo is very exotic. Check it at the shop :becky:

As for tire profile you are better to stick with the recommended setup. 30 or 40 will not differ that much

Bro...stick to the recommended profile of 35. If you increase to 40, your tyre radius may increase marginally but your speedo reading will be way off. It will have a lower speed reading than you are actually driving....high chance of getting caught for speeding without knowing.

Ok, bro. Roger that. I'll stick with 235/35/19. :)

The CSC3 doesn't have much of a sidewall so I'm wondering if CSC5-P has a more "pronounced" sidewall? Or any other brands to recommend?
