Black Artico Man Made Leather vs Leather option

Guys,

i see the website in UK, for like if u choose the e with AMG by default it opos up Artico Black man made leather, then if u were to choose other colours like beige, red seats etc it shows leather and need top up $$$.

So in actual fact are all black seats = Artico man made leather?

So which leather is better?

Nappa leather will chop chop $$$!!!

I think hand made artico is more durable but I think normal leather should be better since need top up based on uk website..

IRCC, there are three types of material used in our seats: Leather, MB-Tex/Artico or Cloth.

You see some cloth being used in the the A/B class. Mostly in the center-bottom of the seat.

MB-Tex is used in nearly all Merc unless you specify not to (esp SG mercs). Think of it as extra high quality PU leather. Found mostly in the center part of the seat (most wear areas). Now, they have been branding the same (faux leather) as Artico. Rest of the seat (less wear, asthetic, class) is made with leather.

Designo is supposed to be their 'designer' line. So it is almost assured the seat is made with leather if it is branded Designo.
