are we right hand drive or left hand drive. refering to the wheel on which side or the car on which side of the road

in the manual

"if you set the dipped-beam headlamps for driving on the right/left more, the multifunction display shows the Intelligent Light System System inoperative Inactive for left-side traffic or Intelligent Light System System inoperative Inactive for right-side traffic display message instead of the Intell. Light System: function in the Settings menu.

Setting the dipped-beam headlamps for driving on the right/left

You can use this function to switch between symmetrical beam and asymmetrical dipped beam more.

If you set the dipped-beam headlamps for driving on the right/left, then motorway mode and the extended range foglamps are not available.

Press the or button on the steering wheel to select the Settings menu.

Press or to select Dipped headlamps.

Press the button to confirm.

Press the button to save the setting.

You can switch between right-hand drive and left-hand drive.

When you change the setting, conversion does not take place until the next time the vehicle is stationary."

so if i want the intel light system i have to switch off the dipped headlights but then how to switch? my english isnt great, can someone explain to me!?!

In my opinion, they wouldn't install a left-hand-drive system on a right-hand-drive car. They sure must have converted into a system for RHD.

Actually the settings for LHD or RHD is used for when you're driving in foreign countries which have the opposite direction of traffic. So I think the LHD/RHD settings in your panel, actually mean "LHD country" or "RHD country", where "LHD country" means you drive on the left side of the road (eg. UK). "RHD country" means you drive on the right side of the road (Rest of Europe).

I say this because my w212 is also from UK, i've set the settings to LHD and the Intelligent light system worked fine for me. A w212 without the system just loses its coolness.

Ok selected LHD then the intelligent light is on.

But what is intelligent light means?

My PI say keep it to RHD drive and intelligent inoperative is the default for SG. Pls advise. He day if keep LHD the light higher or something may distract road users.

Neither LHD or RHD but Left-Side Traffic.

Singapore like UK is Left-side/Left-Hand Traffic and in Singapore almost all our cars are Right Hand Drive.

In UK, U can drive a Left Hand Drive car coming from Europe and driving it in UK Left-Side Traffic or Left-Hand Traffic.
