not only excess, but also the third party claim against the taxi insurance co., I do not need to claim for loss of use as I was given a courtesy car for 5 days.

As for injury wise, I did not suffer any sort of injury, so no claim on that too.

Hey east539,

OK looks like I am now taking the same route you took. Fingers crossed, I get the same outcome as you did. I am fine paying the excess first, but eventually I do want to get reimbursed, or else I am going to be really really pissed, cause it was not my fault.

Oh . U serious? I ask for replacement car from c & c , sad to say they do not provide Tis service. The officer ask me to rent car. And also was told that repair need at least 2-3 weeks... sad. Really very sad

Appreciate u sharing your experience with C&C. The rest of us in the forum can learnt from it. I am surprised with the "poor" service that you are getting from C&C especially your car is relatively new. Well, the positive thing out of the accident is that you are not hurt and for that you should be glad.

I recalled that I was involved in a similar accident with my previous car - Honda Civic when a van crashed into the back of my car on BKE. As the car was new, I drove to KM and it was a similar situation, they raised some issue on insurance claim and I decided to go to STAR for the repair instead. Star gave me a replacement car when I sent in my car and I did not have to pay a single cent including the excess.

Touch wood and it does looks like C&C is not the ideal place to send the car for repair.

Latest update. Got car back today from C&C. Repairs were very good. So no complaints. Mon send in, Thursday get back. 4 days for respray of bumper and new boot, cause the small dent was at a spot which cannot be knocked (i guess).

Paid the excess, and am told (probably expectation management), that chasing the other insurance co will take about 6 mths. So....let's see.

I will post update once there is new development.

Bro yr insurance policy does not cover car usage too? Can you post the name of this company? Chartis cover me 15 days of free usage. Of course, what you pay is what you get!!

Got back my excess which I paid previously, and case is now closed. So, overall, happy with outcome.

hey donut84,

Have you touched bases with the C&C claims back office person handling your case? You do know that the front desk, service consultant handling your case, is not the one who is doing the actual chasing for claims right?

I did not have to chase the back office lady, but I contacted her, intro myself, so she knows I am waiting for reply.

The service consultant should be able to tell you who is handling your case.
