Change Tyres -- GR90 or PS3

Driving a FL W211 avantgarde with 18" rims. Current tyres getting noisy after 30,000km. Thinking of changing. Narrowed down to Bridgestone GR90 or Michelin PS3. Any suggestion? Prefer good balance of low noise and performance.

Bro...you are comparing an apple & an orange here. Both are different categories. PS3 is a high end performance tyre, for spirited driving...obviously more expensive. GR90 is a comfort tyre for normal road drive, some say sleepy drive....definitely budget tyre.

IMHO

W211 is no E55AMG or E63AMG!

U dun do tracking with your W211 or chiong B-Roads.

It's supposed to be a comfortable ride.

When I had my A4 2.0 TFSI Quattro, I couldn't stand the Pirelli P7 noise that came with the car though they grip like crazy.

I was pondering over Michellin and asked South East Tyres Ah Ho - long time friend for >30 yrs. I asked for the quietiest tyres for my A4 245/40/18 - GR90 he said and till now no turning back!

Using the GR90 on the Audi, I never has any fear of loosing grip for all road conditions in Singapore be it wet or dry.

When I had the W212 which again came with Pirelli 17", I switched to the GR90.

When I upgraded my 17" to 18" AMG rims, I kept to the GR90.

After more than 10k km, it's still eeerily silent goin at 75km/hr in the KPE hardly hearing any tyre rolling noise.

Oh yes! Almost all new tyres are quiet till U tot up the mileage.

Low profile tyres are never quiet and comfort tyres never has low profile range till Bridgestone came out with the Touranza range and the latest GR90 has almost all the low profile tyre sizes.

I am using 245/40/18 front & 265/35/18 rear and on the contrary they are not cheap tyres.

They are marketed as Premium Comfort Tyres & was launched late 2009 early 2010

How I wish Michellin Premacy has such tyre sizes!!!!

Mine also very noisy (Pirelli Pzero) especialy the front two and got it replaced with Pirelli P7 (made in Germany) b4 CNY, claimed to be better and quite. Also considering PS3 and CS3 at that times but end up with P7
