Hi guys,

Just to seek some advise from you guys who had experience with replacement.

Had a stome came flying at my W211 windscreen, caused 2 1-cent chipped, no propagation yet but guess for a piece of mind will arrange to get this changed.

Realised that my insurance allow me to go to any workshop (including cycle), however, realsied cycle needed 2 days to do this whereas prob half a day to 1 at other places....

Is it necessary to go back to Cycle and have to go carless for 2 days, or do you guys think workmanship for windscreen will probably be the same everywhere?

Thanks for sharing.

I have Change my previous ride Windscreen once at outside workshop. half day job.

Pls note all workshop dont include the Huper Optik film, so ask them to include. Otherwise you hv to run another trip to get it fixed at another location. For me i just use any brand available

Got my previous W203 windscreen changed at C & C - Pandan Loop - This is the only place @ C & C that change windscreen.

2 days jobs buy less "hassle" - Make appt! Drive car there, talk to SA, they will claim the insurance on your behalf.

My previous insurance has $100 excess.

2 days time - go there, collect car & pay my excess $100 + GST.

Best part U dun worry abt goin thru the procedures for insurance windscreen claim.

Outside workshop, U might have to do the claim yourself.

Furthermore, do by C & C - I got "peace of mind"

Rp2 worth!

Claiming of insurance by workshop. Just fill up the claim form will do.

Hi All,

Thanks for all the valuable inputs!

Might end up just living with it until i really cannot. Am kind of being overly 'paranoid' that the aftermarket replacement might be different quality as the factory fitted one...

hmmm
