HID for car

Hi all,

I wanted to have the factory fitted xenon lights for my B-class but the SE mentioned that it's almost not worth the wait as the delay in delivery of the new car will take up to 6 mths.

Anyways, I understand that the headlights have automatic sensor and whatnot computer programming with the onboard computer ......

I intend to install my HIDs outside but have the following concerns that i need to seek help from the gurus here ......

1. Is there a chance that warranty is still valid? how lenient is C&C?

2. will the installation of aftermarket HIDs affect and messed up any of the original config?

3. Any recommendations on where to do?

I have also another question with regards to uphosltering the car seats with leather. Any recommendation by the folks here on where to do it?

Cheers.

Appreciate your help.

If anything goes wrong with your headlamps, they will not warrant it. eg. The unlikely occasion when your bulb exploded in the lamp assembly. Other than that warranty for the car remains

2. will the installation of aftermarket HIDs affect and messed up any of the original config?

No! U might need a pair of "cancellors" to stop your after mkt H.I.D lights from flickering or causing error message appearing in your instrument cluster

3. Any recommendations on where to do?

See our site sponsor Steven from Sonic Racing - This kind wonderful gentleman should be able to cater to your needs without fear of him chopping U up like a carrot......hehehehehe!

There are many "well known" shops around - here's a list from the sgcarmart

http://www.sgcarmart.com/directory/listing.php?CAT=14

U might wanna consider

Tomo-CSE Autotrim Pte Ltd

Address : 3018 Bedok North Street 5 #02-07/08

Phone : 64455777

C & C outsouce their reverse camera, reverse sensors & car seats upholstery to them. Starting price for leather seats start from >$1000.

Cheers.

Appreciate your help.

Hi newbie, did u used the search button to look for answers? Here is my short answer to yr question.

1) anything u mods on the particular parts will confirm void yr warranty. However if u change yr interior lighting & yr engine failed do you think u have a case?

2) yes & no, depends!!

3) Sonic is yr best friend.

4) no leather? U shld ask yr SE to get it done before hand over yr car. In these way, will reduce down time. My previous car also get it done by C&C, the company name is Tomo.

Did mine with Steven from sonic racing. Changed to Phillips hid with ballast and decoder. No removal of bumper needed and found out later decoder not actually required for the w204 but just put for peace of mind. More then 1 year on and still working perfectly. Good service very informative and helpful a lot of other bros here also did their hids and pole lights no issues so far.

I can testify Steve's experience and workmanship for your change of lights in your Mercedes. Steve corrected my flickering issue even on a Sunday at his place even though it's a rest day. Charges are reasonable and they've dealt with many of our bros in here and so far it's been good.
