That means my SE not flexible, only allow 50% conversion of SC. Everything else no conversion.

Depends, if u plan to keep the ride for couple of years is good to keep some of the credit for servicing. For my 2 (previous) ride, my game plan is to get in & out fast so I insist to convert anything of everything to cash :).

They convert my $2K out of my $3K service credit. My view is convert 1st & pay for service later. Just got to act not interested to the SE. I test drive & like the car. Sure buying but I told the SE I'm still considering Lexus & BMW. Furthermore price is not attractive & the colour I want is not available. Told them I'll get back to them if I want. 1 hour later, the SE called to offer better pricess & told me they managed to get the colour I wanted. :becky:

Just curious and would like to estimate the "limit" that C&C is prepared to go to get the deal. You mentioned in your earlier post ...

1 time discount 4888 (include the conversion of the SC)

OT 8000

Total : 12,888

Netted Price = S$ 168,888 - 12,888 = S$ 156,000

I must say that it is a good deal ...

COE for CAT A was around 3o k in Oct/Nov 2010. Unless you are referring to CAT B, COE was aroung 40k. 126k was a very very good price. I believe the Listed Price at that time was S$ 149,888, S$24k off is very special.

Conversion of service credit $2000

Nett : $168888 - $14888 = $154000 + FOC window flim ( Which I think all cars are usually given FOC )

Before you think a deal is a good deal, check the trade in car price (before OT) they are offering you first.

Republic Auto has always given poor trade in car price ... even with the OT, C&C may still b making a handsome sum from you used car.

So, check everything. $126k for $44k COE is too good to be true.

Assuming OMV for 1.6BE C180K is $36k ... ARF + custom excise duty + GST will come up to $82224 + COE $44,000 ... basic cost of car is $126,224.

Unless C&C dont want to make money and just want to put cars on the road.

My C180 CGI is registered on 1st October 2010. I signed the papers in August, I think. My Category B COE was 43443 or something like that. My list price was 163888. I traded in my 5 years old CL7A. I got the aerodynamic kit (front lips, roof spoiler, boot lip, rear aprons, diffuser), single chrome exhaust, window film, cup holder and car mats. I converted 2000 worth of service credits to cash. The other 2000 I kept it for servicing and some other merchandise (glasses, keyring, shampoo, leather cleaner, etc). I also got the Nano Sealant done on my car before collection. My nett price was 142000. Good deal?

You paid $163k or $142k ? If you paid $142k, it a damn good deal considering the amount of accessories you got. If not, good deal only. Ha ha.

I wish I knew Chiaster before I bought my car, can save me a few tens of thousands. He should be our resident negotiator.

Woofie, if you're reading this, better quick hand quick leg make friends with bro Chiaster. Savings from car enough to put deposit for new condo.

Bro, your 142k is after Lessing off your free service credits, discounts and overtrade right?

Mine is 143888 list price with free 2k service credits. Plus 5700 overtrade.

So kinda if minus is about 136k.

But actually all these overtrade is all bluff one la.

If u sell your car within 2 years, need pay back your overtrade.

So everyone try to bargain for direct discount instead or more service credits converted to cash.

Mine is c180 cgi stock. Coe 36k.

If we buy another c and c car, wonder if they canwaive the penalty?!? Haha

They should do that to encourage more to buy car thru them ma.

6k difference in both our nett prices. I guess I'm ok with it because I had the kit thrown in (front apron lips, roof spoiler, boot lid, rear apron lips, diffuser, chrome tip muffler) plus the Nano Sealant done for the car. Either how, you got a great deal too!
