This a $40k question. C200 CGI most definitely if money is not an issue.

You can find out from this forum if the extras you get is worth the 40 grand or not.

Agree with the comment ..... mine was a $27k question when I bot the

C180K. If $$$$ not a issue, the choice is obvious.

Main diffferences between the two :

i) Engine - Turbo (Newer) vs Supercharged ii) Output - 184 BHP vs 156 BHP iii)Full Automatic Seats vs semi automatic seats iv) W/WO Parktronic v) Exhaust tip.

Also note that it is unlikely to be able to recover the difference when the car is sold in the future. Unlikely to be able to get a $40k difference between the C200 CGI and C180K when selling them off in the future.

Meaning what? The C180K depreciates more than C200CGI or the other way?

It was the same for me when I got the C180k back in Nov. The major diff is the engine, I guess. The rest, I figured I could live with (btw they gave me reverse sensor and cam, and the chrome exhaust tip as complimentary).

If they still had the C180 CGI then and if it was 10k more, I would hv gone for it.

Anyway, I'm enjoying my ride now. Mercy mercy me.

C180 cgi. If not e250cgi. ;)

Agreed! The C180 CGI seems like the best deal. Unfortunately C&C not selling them anymore. Maybe they will bring in again when they launch the new FL C-class :becky:

c180- 4k OT & 3k SC

c200 - 10k OT & 4k SC.

that's what i roughly gotten from the SE...

they may have more promo now...

It's a $30k difference. If u can squeeze them and bring the price gap down to about $20k, it's worthwhile considering the C200. They should give pretty good trade-in.

Then again, don't know if the new FL version will include a 1.6L variant. If not then the base model will be at least $190k considering the current COE level. A bit steep.

I just book C180. OT $4000 ( but I negotiate to $8K :bounce: ), Service credit $3K. If you opt for int rate 2.68%, finance will give cash back 8% of your loan taken.

Good nego but 2.68 % recommenation is a no go. Do yr sum before u go for it, there will be a crawl back.

Congrats. Good nego skills. When r u collecting your ride n color ?

I agree that the 2.68% is a gimmick, like the free upgrade promo, but it'll tie u down. They still make money from this scheme at the end of the day.

You can still opt for the 1.66% rate with no cash back. The cash back is only helpful if you need to top up for your current ride or put a big down on the new car. With the $4K I squeeze from her, her face already turn green so she can't throw in any accessories. I got a Red & delivery is on Mar/Apr.

Now the bank interest rate is 1.66%?

Just to share..

OMV COE Cost Profit

C180K 31,797 38,889 111,653 Selling at 159k - 47,347

C200CGI 46,391 69,999 175,097 Selling at 190k - 14,903

+ Figures taken off LTA website - Jan 2011

Which is a better deal ? Based on the figures above, it is a 30k question - C180K or C200CGI ? C&C is using the higher profit/volume of the sale from C180K to subsidies the lower margin of the C200 CGI. It is obvious that the C200 CGI is a better deal for those that are prepared to pay the extra for the C200 CGI.

You really got a pretty good deal. They let u convert 50% of the service credits to discount off car price ?

I agree, have to try to act cool and like not so interested to get the car.

The cost/profit are transparent and we know how much profit C&C is making. The SEs are given guidelines, can push them to get better offer. One of my friends converted everything to cash discount - SC, OT, Accessories (Solar Firm) etc and just get a nett price. And he got a very good deal at the end.
