Maybe got to do with the level...Audi DRL are situated at the headlamp whereas Merc are at the foglight level... i believe Audi uses bigger LED too...:becky:

On the contrary...drl has to be brighter than headlights by virtue of the fact that it's used in the day. It has to pierce thru bright sunlight to be effective. That said, it must also dim automatically in the night when headlights are in use. Both Audi & Merc have this auto dim feature. It's those after market drls without auto dim that make cars using them so irritating in the night. Those idiots ought to be booked!

i feel the drl light should not be brighter than the head light, that is job overkill.

The Audi DRL same as the MB DRL.

They are bright when the headlights are off and dimmed when the headlights are on!

For the Audi DRL in-built in the headlamp assembly - during daytime driving when the headlamps are off, they are at their brightest but during signalling, the respective side DRL will be dimmed too.

Yap stock one shld not have any issue at all. Yr after market LED is it straight or hockey? U didn't add a switch when install? I m sure if u off it without covering it up they won't come after you.
