Hi there everyone, I am not too familiar with the following 2 system of the W204 and would like to get some opinion whether or not my system is working property.

1: parktronic system: when does the audible warning comes in? Mine will only come in when I have the first red dot. Throughout the amber range there is no audible warning at all.

2: When I put into reverse gear not all the time the left wing mirror will tilt down to aid in parking. SOmetimes when I play around with the angle of the mirror, it will not tilt down at all when reverser gear is engaged. Is it because when the angle is set beyond a certain degree then in will not tilt? Pls advise.

1. Yup, same here.

2. Short Answer: You need to put the mirror select (left/right) to LEFT for the thing to tilting to work.

Long Answer: You may see in the manual how to save a new tilting angle.

2. Oh man, I didn't know Merc have this function hahaha... Thought it can't be lousier than my previous 3 series...

Ya for it not to tilt is actually a good thing depends what sort of parking you are after. For normal direct reverse in I prefer the angle not to tilt at all or else for L parking then I want it to tilt so that I can judge the side curb.

But is there a aftermarket for this?

There is some discussion with the foreign talent guy on this but end up NATO and the deal is off. Now depends whether our local talent got time to do a research on this, if it's works I m sure the demand will be good!!

Is this tilt function available for W204 C180 CGI?

From the car's manual, it seems like it's available for W204 C200 CGI and above where the seats have the 3 memorised settings, as in order to store the desired tilt angle, one needs to depress the "M" button which the C180 CGI does not.

Yes, only model with memory seat will have this function.

To adjust, tilt the left mirror to the desired position, press the

M button follow by the down arrow button. This will store the

position to the memory.

For the parktronic, only when the distance hits the red position

will it sound. When full red, it will produce continous beep.

I'm driving the C200 W203 Sport Edition. :-)
