Guys, anyone went to change their avant-garde rims for w204 to the one we always see in newspapers? The 6 spoke amg rim?

It's in 17 or 18?

Price?

Where recommend to change.?

If it's 18 , will road noise be noiser and loss in comfort?

Do a search here

Price?

Ask benzline or C&C or the above website

Where recommend to change.?

Any Tyre Shop e.g Leong Seng, SE tyres or C&C if you're feeling rich

Firmmer ride and well noise depends on type of tyre you pick i.e performance or comfort do a search google is your friend.

A quick internet search here should help you

IIRC 6 twin spokes for W204 are in 17" & 5 twin spokes for 18" and named AMG Monblock IV.

Like in the W212, I dun think MB has a recommendation for 19" except the C63 AMG or E63 AMG

To each his own, for some 18" is not too harsh but some think likewise.

Some goes even higher to 19" & 20s !

These guys must have save lots of money with lesser tyres for their rims

I am using the 18" 6 twin spokes AMG IV for my W212 and feel off course a bit "harder" than the stock 17" it came with but acceptable to me.

I am using staggered rims with "quite broad" tyres 245/40/18" Front & 265/35/18 Rear.

Despite being broad but imho the excellent Bridgestone Touranza GR 90 tyres are imho "super quiet".

Cruisng at 75km-80km/hr in the KPE, I hardly hear any tyre rolling noise though I admit the W212 excellent sound insulation does help.

I've put in more than 10K km and the tyres are still as quiet from day 1.

For the 6 twin spokes AMG IV 17" or 5 twin spokes AMG IV, quite a few PI

W204 have them.

Some owners trade in for bigger rims and U might find some of these rims at Leong Seng.

U might want to pay them a visit and if they do not have, leave your name with them to call U if someone trade in these rims.

Expect to pay about $2K+ for rims and tyres after trading in your own.

Is IIRC 6 twin spoke 17 inch same as Amg IV 17 inch?

Also how to know if replica or original?

Go for which? Px difference?

same! 6 twin spokes as AMG IV

r

eplicas goes for $200+ to $300+ per rim without tyres.

Originals AMG IV with near new tyres traded in by owners to LS will cost U about $2k+ after trading in your own rims/tyres.
