Aircon Failure

The aircon of my C200K is driving me nuts..

3 weeks ago, as usual I start my car to go home after my work. Turn on the aircon by turning the temp knob. Surprisingly there was no air or wind coming out from the vents! Thought that I might have accidentally touched some buttons related to aircon. Tried pressing the buttons around in vain and there was still no wind.. Feeling sad and lan lan, wind down my window and continue driving. Coz it's the first time I encounter such problem after owning 4 cars before, I still can't believe it and decided to try and switch it on again, the aircon came back to life!!

As mine is a PI car and under the warranty from TWM, I drove it to Khang's Auto at Sin Ming the following day to have it checked. After almost 2 hours of running the aircon on at idling and computer plug in checks, to no suprised the people at Khang's Auto told me they found no problems at all.

Then last night, after I filled up the gas. It failed me again. Drove halfway home, it came back to life again. And today it happened again after I drove off after having my lunch. Died and came back to life again. Drove to Khang and they told me to drive in for a thorough check on Monday.

It's really getting on my nerves and seems super irritating when it happens. My friend told me 99% the aircon blower has kaput.

Has anyone had this problem before?

Unlikely a fuse. Fuse cuts power supply by breaking continuity (thin metal gets melted), so it's either a ON or OFF.

Since the air-con comes on after a while and not initially turn on, it's probably a connection, electrical or electronic component fault (warm up ok, cold not ok kind of situation), or some thing else.

Would suggest try another workshop. Tried Khang motor few times previously as my car also under twm warranty. But they are pretty disappointing and service was bad. Same issue as you. Said could not identify the problem when my ac was blowing hot air..

brader .... sound like you having the air con BLOWER problem ...

FYI ... the blower Motor voltage was regulated by the Blower Regulater ...

it can be the Blower Regulater or the Socket Loose Contact ....

Need To Be Checked ....

for C200K ... Don't mind to Provide the Chassis Number ...

or SMS me your chassis Number to me ... 012-708 2660 ...

it possible due to the Multi-Function Sensor failure ....

this sensor was NOT a Standard equips for all the Model ... (optional)

it was only for Automatic Air Con System ...

hope this helps ........ cheers ....
