saw your A4 for sale the other time , really nice black beauty. Black/black. hard to come by. but boh pian , back then $$ not enuff. hehehe.

Here's the Granny story arh!

1. Didn't like the W212 when it first came out. Think like most of the MBs.

It grows on U!

Maybe all those talks about after having a Merc, it will always be another Merc....This is my fifth......hehehe! :becky:

2. After FL W211, the Q5 was a little smaller but the A4 was evenl smaller.

The Q5 was "nice looking", modern, lup the panaroof & keyless but no

Audi ADS, No Cruise Control, has to retrofit Fiscon BT, no DRL only LED strip at nite.

The A4 despite the long 2.8 meter wheelbase, leg room was not over generous.

After having the A4, face reality that it was not really power & superb quattro handling that I wanted.

3. The PI Q5 was mTmed and was really fast.

Sub 7s to 100 & >170km/hr in matter of secs but like any SUV it was not that good at handling even it was a quattro.

4. Changed the Q5 (partly tulan the PI who sold me the car)

then went to PA for the A4 2T Quattro for fast ride & good handling!

Even PA was willing to bear half the mTm cost, I took the money discount. Postphone the mTm ECU remap which in the end never took place.

5. Then 1 day was at AutoSpritze and saw the PI W212 AMG Sport Package with Panaroof.

Then brought my wife to look at it and we quickly "fell in luv" with the Merc again. We also realised it was not speed & handling that we wanted.

It was space, comfort & built that were our priorities.

6. Went to C&C, they were willing to take my A4 at the price I paid PA for it.

PI was offering $10K less for the A4 and no Keyless.

So that's more or less the history why I went for the C&C W212.....still luving it with TLC......muhahaha!

Agreed, on MB just grow on you. same here. first time saw W212, , the rear is exactly sonata's replica. BUT.. when i saw the AMG sports W212..alamak.. i think i have to eat my words,lol...

As for A4 2L, frankly, im setting my eyes on it. BUT, cannot swallow the high markup by PA

Especially when PI launched their S4 and loaded with alot of full options which is marginally different from PA A4 2L. And,agreed with bro from the same forum that it feels very electronics compared to my current ride, subaru legacy GT.

to some extend, i also feel that i might set my priorities wrongly as, the same concern here,

afterall to some extend, space and level of comfort is what you seek for as you go along.

so end of the day, if the car does has decent torque for city driving , which i think is fair enuff

for singapore driving.

IMHO, the A4 & the W204 may be in the same exe mid sedan cat. as the same for the 3ers but they are totally different cars.

U want power, speed, torque & handling the A4 2 TQ

U want "comfort", "built" & a "cruiser" the W204.

For a MB like the W204 & even W212 it's does take some effort to bring the car to go over 200km/hr.

For the Audi A4 2T Q or the Q5 - It doesn't take much effort to bring it pass 200km/hr in very short distances.

PA advertisment is damn aggressive. even got friends whom know nuts about cars also

got impressed , influenced or brain washed by their audi fashion show etc...

AND, my 2 cents opinion, Audi interior is damn plastic looking, or cheapo u can call it in another term.somehow, tak shiok when u are inside. not impressive. except for that small

little screen and those fancy buttons along the gear knob. lol..

but i gotta admit. DSG is F**king addictive! cannot get it out of my head.

makes you feel like lao ah beng driving old skool Vtec withOUT the physical gear change and clutch engagment.
