Does MErc cars somes default with Car Alarms ?

Just noticed my W203 does not seem to have car alarms.

i mean even when I used the manual key to open the door, there is no alarm activated as well.

Is there ?

Didn't know hv C250 CGI, where did u purchase it? Yrs is a warning system, he is asking for an alarm. Most non conti cars comes with an alarm.

Talking about alarm, didn't check if mine comes with it too...:confused:

Datacard indicates these:

817 - Housing for Alarm Siren(ATA)

885 - Highten Theft Protection

551 - Anti-Theft/Anti-Break-in Warning System

P54 - Theft Protection Package

Seems like 817 is just a housing, and not the actual alarm...:frusty:

Haha the housing probably for putting yr alarm clock not car theft alarm Frankly it's been a super long long time I come across conti car with car alarm. twMtw conti car like Mercs & Bmw are using immboilizer system, so probably they don't need an alarm. Is gd to install an alarm, they are good for prevent break-in and locating yr car in MSCP in the event u forgotten where u park yr car!!

That's one thing C&C especially our W212 dun have - anti theft alarm.

They only gave us immobilizer while most PI cars have both anti-theft alarm

& immobilizer. Think U overlooked this point when U were doing your home work.....muahaha!

To my experience, this practice also happen to Audi cars.

PA Q5 & A4 immobilizer nia while PI all got anti-theft & immobolizer!

hahaha no lah, i knew about the anti theft alarm thingy. Its doesnt bother me at all coz i know sillypore is a safe country. Also, for cabrio, whats the point having an alarm, just cut open yr top can liao...........

orh, actually how does the anti theft thingy do? Its will send a sms to yr phone or shut down the entire car when there is a break-in?

in the hurry sure forget one.

GPS dont work in covered car parks also.

Happen so many times at Suntec. Late for meeting as hard to find carpark. Then rush up.

Then after meeting I die lar spend 30~45 mins or flag for buggy for SOS.

I need a better solution
