Shortened Exhaust Pipes

Hi everyone,

After 4months of wait, the W212 sports package has finally arrived. As previously mentioned, i wanted to mod the the two exhaust tips from oval to rectangular.

I have purchased the rectangular exhaust tips, however, it cannot fit in nicely. The exhaust pipes are too long, preventing the exhaust tips from a good fitting. The only way is to shorten the exhaust pipes(muffler untouched)!

Kindly advise if a shortened exhaust pipe will increase any cabin noise or exhaust sound.

Thank you!

The exhaust piping is too long as in causes the tail protuding out too much from the rear bumper or the newly purchase tail pipe unable to fit in at all? If it's the latter not point cutting the exhaust piping.

As whether by shortening the exhaust any impact on the noise, I doubt so. However do take note that any modification on the exhaust is not vicom inspection & LTA friendly. Make sure no visibility of welding joints :).

My advise will be, Just Mod It!!
