Just installed my DRL today. Its the original mb part for w204. Looks like the one on S class. Its about 2hr job. Need some cutting of the bumber to fit. Overall im very satisfied on the workmanship and the up class look on my car now. CHEERS! HAPPY NEW YEAR

Then you sacrifice you original foggy ?

Actually I never really on my fog lights, so changing to the DRL is worth it. Super bright. I'm thinking if switching on Headlights and DRL will cause any discomfort to the driver infront though

Wired to the fog wires ? Or does it come with an additional switch ?

It's using the fog light wiring, but there a lot of wiring work to be done to make sure all foes well. Basically the DRL is on once the engine is turned on, but a seperate switch is installed to allow u to turn it off. All functions of the car remains unchanged.

Nice DRL..

Can have a look at the switch which is installed?

Hope it does not look horrible.

Would changing this void warranty?

it just a normal switch hidden beside the boot lever. U cant see the switch at all. As for all mods warranty will be void for the electronics i think

My W204 comes with factory fitted DRL as appeared in your earlier link. It's supposed to dim when the headlights are on otherwise they will be exceedingly blinding to the cars in front. If yours does not have the auto dim feature, I would strongly suggest that they be switched off in the night.
