Hey guys, thanks for your replies. Is this Betty working with Fong Kim? I know Fong Kim is also the official distributor for Remus here in Singapore.

Ok, bro. Will check with Betty. Thanks! :)

Does Remus offers the full catback exhaust or it's just the muffler only? If have the full system for the CGI I'll be interested too.

U guys shld share the risk & get a set with TUV in from Europe for local approval. I m sure you guys can afford it. Someone needs to take lead & get it done. If fail to get it locally approve the bill won't comes up to $2000 or more but it is approved the rest will be history!! Good luck

Getting approval from LTA for your own exos, the approval letter will state the car VRN & not across the board for everyone.

U cannot go to LTA & say so & so car is approved & yours is approved too.

Doesn't work that way!

Yes & no!! For vendors is a yes but for individual is a no. Anyway what I meant is one of them get it approved then the rest can follow the same procedure or pass the information to the workshop to bring in from the source. If failed to gets it approve, then the lost will be minimise as few of them share the risk.

Anyway it will be better for vendors to apply for approval locally but do you think they willingly to take risk for you??

Just a quick side note. I spoke with Betty (working for Remus AD locally). She mentioned that Austria currently has no plan to do an exhaust for the CGI model. 1 piece of information that could help though, is to get the part number for the stock CGI exhaust for her so that she can forward it to Austria. Those guys over there would then do some R&D to see if they can come up with something for the W204 CGI. Anyone knows where/how I can get this piece of information?

"Our Ref: LTA/VTL/VS/VE/F20.000.000/7445

Date : 20-May-2011

Dear Darryl

FEEDBACK NUMBER: 20110506-0622

... With regards to your enquiry on welding a chrome exhaust tail pipe on your vehicle, we would like to inform you that we have no objection to the fitting of exhaust pipe outlet attachment (by way of welding or screwed on) onto the original exhaust pipe after the rear muffler so long as this does not adversely affect the safe operation of the vehicle. In addition, the exhaust pipe outlet attachment should not be welded directly to the silencer/muffler. Please also ensure that the followings are complied with when fitting the exhaust pipe outlet attachment:

a) the exhaust pipe outlet is installed with sound engineering practice and must be adequately supported;

B) there is no modification to the other parts of the exhaust system, unless approved by us;

c) the exhaust pipe does not protrude longitudinally or laterally from the vehicle and has no sharp edges;

d) the exhaust pipe outlet is on the off-side or rear of the vehicle; and

e) the vehicle exhaust emissions continue to comply with the applicable vehicle exhaust gas and noise emission standards"
