Squeaking sound when braking

Sent in my 211 SP (15 months old) to AD workshop last Tue to rectify the squeaking sound when braking. Found the sound came from rear wheel and the SA told me that it was caused by the dirt on the brake disc. They cleaned it but the sound still appeared on the next day. Sent in again on last Friday and now they claimed that there is still a bit of dirt. After two round of cleaning, the squeaking sound still can be heard and according to the SA, it could caused by the brake pads which the tickness is estimated 50% remaining (based on their inspection on the 1st visit) and may need to be replaced it (wear & tear). Now, they need 2 days to check the problem.

I'm wondering why the brake pads need to change since it's in good condition? I'm using MB genius brake pad and don't tell me that I need to change whenever the tikcness reach 50%. Any brothers there having such problem? Your input much appreciated.

SP stand for sport edition model & bought it brand new direct from AD. The squeaking sound only appeared when braking at low speed & during stop & go traffic.

W211?? E class?? Ask yr AD to check the rotor, tell them is warp. Demand for a new set for replacement. Brake pad can last more than 50k km usage, depending on yr driving style!! What's yr mileage? Orh yes, many here might not realise that when u got new set of bbk or pad, do remember that u needs to run-in too. Meaning, don't hard braking when new.

Actually, I also have same issue. Sometimes the screeching sound will appear if I apply break at traffic lights or during slow down. Went to clean the break pad on Monday at a workshop but problem still persisted when I drove it yesterday.
