Ok guys! I decided that I would do without the coilovers for now and just go for the springs instead. Spent too much on the rims and tyres already! :( So, thanks to bro newmerc and bro toybox, I got my set of H&R sport springs today! Couldn't stand the height of the car after fitting on the 19s yesterday. I felt like I was driving an SUV!!! Urgh. Had to lower the car so got the springs from benzline, installed it at race technologies and also did the alignment there. Whole process took about 3 hours!!! Long wait but at least the job was done properly. So now, the car sits nicely lowered! :) 1 finger gap on the front fenders and 2 fingers on the rear fenders. "That's how a Merc should look like!" said bro newmerc. And boy, does the car's stance look good now!!! :) It doesn't stop here though. After driving the car for about 30clicks here and there (head back to the office, fetch the missus, have dinner, go home), the handling of the car just went up by LOTS!!! Car feels very planted now. No excessive 'squatting' while pulling off from standstill. Not much 'dipping' while coming to a halt. Entering and exiting corners with much more stability and confidence than before. Roll has also decreased by LOTS. Simply put, the ride's FANTASTIC. :) I've had previous experience with coilovers before on Japanese cars and while the springs can't compare in terms of precision handling and all that, it makes up for it with a reasonable level of comfort that you don't lose much from the stock setting. The H&R sport springs will be perfect for you if you don't drive the car like a mad man ALL THE TIME, if you still want to maintain a decent level of ride comfort for yourself and your passengers, if you ocassionally want quicker response in terms of entry/exit, if you don't want to slide in your seat so much when cornering, if you don't demand race-type handling on your stock engine. I have no regrets with this purchase absolutely. Stay tuned for pictures when I get the car washed, be blessed with sunny weather and find a good spot for an amateur iPhone/blackberry shoot. Cheers, folks. :)

Your concise description of the prpcess and after effects has certainly raised temptations! Damm shiok just reading it.

Praying for clear sky ahead just for the pics man.:thumb:

Got quoted at 420 for the springs alone. You need to purchase it and then bring it over to RTES for installation and alignment. The former costs 150 while the latter costs 50.

Thks for the info. ^^

Any big, open spots there conducive for a casual shoot? I don't mind actually. Bro toybox, what do you say? :)
