Hi,

anyone use this nanoball which claimed to improved power and fuel saving

any comment?

Till date there is not such product as improved power and fuel saving. If there is such product exist, the car maker will confirm install it onto their model. :) I might be wrong though but after tested so many so-called "more power and fuel saving products" during my crazy mod days i have seen none.

well, not totally agreed, due to costs saving, manufacturer will not implement every features into car, if they do, you might not be able to afford, (I mean myself) not to undermind anybody.

some product do works however.

Most of the time, you can have either improved power, or improved fuel efficiency, you can't have both. If there's such a product, I'm keen too.

Some wise man told me before:

1. Cheap

2. Good

3. Fast

You can only choose 2 from the above, applies to a lot of things....

Cheers!

Bro Heng,

Sometime can lah but very rare.

"When all things are equal" - when the car is underpower with very "bad" power to weight ratio - an increase in power at such time "save fuel"

In olde days when mata weak kaki shorts for uniform.

One particular car stand out - The Alfa Romeo GT series.

To cater for different market segments -

The same car cums in 1300 & 1600 GT Junior & also 1750 & 2000 GTV.

The 1300 GT Junior was grossly underpowered and consumed more fuel than the nicely weighted 1600GT Junior.

IMHO - Nowadays lots of Snake Oil products in the market! :becky:

Best little trick you can do: check your tire pressure and up it by about 10% from the default. Sub-optimal tire pressure is pretty common here.. Almost always, you get a more crisp handling, lesser rolling resistance and yes, slightly better fuel economy. It's good, it's fast n it's free. :bounce:

Dear Mr. Pat Tan - sorry got to chk your profile cos U didn't mention any where what ride U are driving. So it's difficult to tell U what's the recommended tyre pressure.

Your E200 Avantgarde VRN SGN XXXX probably put U in Oct/Nov 2006.

I believe your ride is the FL W211 E200K unless the VRN has been changed.

Your wheels should be 8J x 17 H2 ET 38 and not 8.5J x 17 H2 ET 38

and U are using 245/45 R17 right!

Your avantgarde rims looks like below?

still cannot help U cos old man got memory loss! rtfm.gif

The recommended tyre pressures are stated in your fuel filler flap!

Hi there,

thank you for trying to help, i didnt update my profile, my car is a facelifted model, registered in Feb 2008 (so shld be 8.5J x 17 H2 ET 38??) and the rim is exactly the same in your posted link. car plate is old number.... Yes, is 245/45 R17, i will check on the fuel flap tomor. i think 36psi shld be quite safe. I like it hard :bounce:

I had previously a late Dec 2007 FL W211 avantgarde too but I cannot remember the TP.

IIRC the front & back pressure is different,

Not full load

Front I think previously I pumped around 32 or 33psi and rear around 38 psi

Higher TP than recommended will have a slightly harder ride!
