Damage on New E200. Should Bring to C&C?

Hi,

MY dad just bumped the e200 into a pillar while parking..

One of the rear headlights is broken and the bumper is slighting off-alignment with scratches.

Should I go to C&C to repair (they will then have record) or should I go to an outside repair shop? Any to recommend if it's outside repair shop?

Thanks.

IMO, it will cost you an arm & a leg if you send to C&C for this simple job. Send to outside workshops will cost at least half the price. I usually send my cars for minor body/paint jobs to this place in Sin Ming called Soek Seng. Look for Ah Joo at 97558419. I'm always very satisfied with his work & price.

Ditto. Soek Seng is marvellous. The old man who owns the place (Mr Poon) restores vintage cars for a living. Check out his handiwork. Pretty good.

agreed. fyi, the outside workshop can get the parts from c&c at 10% discount too. despite c&c saying that the discount will be given to only customers patronizing their workshop.

btw, w212 or w211? if it is the w211 fl but non avantgarde, consider changing both rear lights to the led version! haha... (hopefullly it will work, ask around!)

Thanks all! I will go find Ah Joo then :)

bbwannabe(Big Boy Wannabe?),

I'm the w212 (the new e class). Now got around $4k service credit in mercs, so thinking whether i should just upgrade to AMG Package and pay $3+k more? But don't see much difference between the amg styling and elegance styling...

U mean the avantgarde package?

AMG Sport package as an option at point of ordering the car is $13,000.

This not only the body kit but plus the steering, exhaust, carpets, pedals, etc.

C&C will not do a retrofit AMG Sport Package.

If U wanna do an AMG body kit, I believe Benzline is selling it @ $5+k.

Thanks kepiting! :)

I thought i read somewhere that it was $7.5k for AMG retrofit at C&C and $5+k at Benzline.

Anyway, if it's $13k, then it's too much. Save the money to buy another car better.

Ok, will check out benzline too if the repair cost is $1k or $2k, then might as well just swap the whole bumper and ask them to throw in free rear headlight cover..keke.

There will be more options at Benzline other than original amg body kit!
