Hi All,

My very first post here.

Seeking advise from the good ppl in this forum. I have very little experience with car specs, aesthetics and purchases. Learning more as i read this forum...

Have intentions to purchase from C&C E250 iridium silver advangarde model. Sales person offers only black/black or black/chestnut brown interiors. Any other interior colour chosen has to be indented and i cannot enjoy the "Remarkable Drive 2010" discount.

Kindly advise if an iridium silver exterior will complement a dark coloured interior(ie black/chestnut brown). Has anyone owned such a combi?

Thank you.

Welcome ...

I think silver typically comes with grey leather or darker shade of grey .. although have seen silver on chestnut brown ....

best if u can get the sales person to show you the actual car with the interior trim and gauge your preference ...

I m on black with brown (dark beige)...my CO like the contrasting colors ... although I wanted black on black for easy maintenance... but now i grow to like it too but need to treat your leather every now and then to remove the stain marks...

Thank you for all good replies!

Will certainly request viewing of chestnut brown interior with iridium silver exterior. Let's hope C&C can find such a model for viewing...it's really hard to imagine end result.

Black/Black is sporty but my folks at home cant agree on it.

Black/chestnut brown i have seen it at the showroom in a black car, it has a luxurious appeal.

The sales person told me...for a nice outlook, light coloured cars should pair with dark interiors, dark coloured cars should pair with light interiors.

Any truth in that? I'm afraid he is calling bluff on me...

Mine is w211 FL in iridium silver with "sierra grey". I feel it makes the car feel more spacious, but the lighter colour means the leather will blacken abit. this colour combi will definitely satisfy the superstitious folks since there's no black/dark colours involved.

What we did to visualise the colours was to take the interior colours they provided and laid it on the bonnet of a iridium silver display car. Then similar to wearing clothes, see whether the colours looked good together or not. But for us, felt the chestnut brown interior wasn't appealing to us.

personally, i don't think you could go wrong with a grey or black.

cheers.

C&C 3rd or 4th floor car park has a lot of brand new cars waiting for delivery there. My SE brought me there when I couldn't decide on the car colour when I bought my car. I think you should be able to find one with the right colour combination there. Ask your SE to bring you there to see. Can't open people's car doors though, but can see through the windows and at least you get the idea.

Thank you for all good suggestions. It really did help me decide on the colour of my choice.

Settled for the chestnut brown interior to go with Iridium silver. Really lucky to have the SE show me an event car that's of the same colour combi!
