Hi there,

I hav a pre-FL 2007 manufactered R171 SLK 200, PI fm Japan. It comes with GPS, bt obviously no one has been able to provide me with the map for it to work locally.

I am sure many others face the same problem here....any luck u can help?

Lastly, do u only do for merc or other marques as well?

Know of 2 places can do the AMG steering with paddle shifts.

AutoSpritze & MBM/KBS

I just did my W212 AMG Steering with paddle shifts by AutoSpritze.

Beside installing the steering wheel, they need to do wiring and diagnostic software coding.

I've asked Chloe from MBM to quote me the installation cost but

after 2 weeks I did not get an answer. Thus I ended up with AutoSpritze.

BTW Benzline has a showroom there too!

pai sei, smart alex a bit here.

you can add a reverse camera to the w211. the official way (which i adopted for my ex-w203) is to add comand aps, add tv tuner, add camera to the tv tuner. it will all be recognized correctly.

BUT! the stupid thing is, when you go into to reverse it doesn't auto switch to the camera! (my w203 setup did, w211 won't, don't know why!)

anyway, the other way, is to have the latest comand aps ntg 4, install unker's gadget from autospritze (did i get it right), then it will auto switch plus a lot of funky stuff. but i must say, with the comand aps ntg 4 (as in version 4), you can also just add a camera to make it work as you would expect.

yeah... i think that is what you're looking for. if you want other ways, i.e., non-oem, search around in the forum. got a few alternative.

Tks for yr comments but I do not understand the system. All I wanna is just that someone to add a reverse camera to my car and it works w/o affecting any other function. I do not wish to add any other things such as additional screen or rear view mirrors. It will be better still of the phone can work with another SIM card...plug and play would be best for me who is not tech inclined...haha..jus utilised the present set to the fullest without spending too much would be best...lol

If U have Audio 10 or 20 without LCD screen any after mkt interface will not help.

Basically your HU need a LCD screen to see picture of reverse camera, dvd, or gps.

IIRC only on late models of W211 - those who bought in late 2008 and 2009 has a color LCD screen on their Audi 20.
