Lousy Service by C&C - Experience with SE

Hi All Buddies here,

Yes, I have received my car this week and managed to change the SE - don't really care if the initial SE or the new SE received the commission - I am sure they will sort out themselves.

I don't want to kill that SE's career by listing his full name here....

not nice to make someone lose his job though I was quite pissed off with his service and the cheap sales technique that was not really C&C style - wonder if he is from some cheapo gadget sales before.

If any of you guys are buying cars from C&C recently and would like to siam this lousy SE, you can PM me.

But no matter which SE you are going for, just make sure you don't commit on the 1st time - try to talk to 2 or 3 SE and then decide which one is good. Ask many detailed questions including freebies given, interest rates, rebates of bank, penalty, delivery date, etc...

PM me if you are buying... will share more on what to look out!

Cheers,

Mark

Mark, is your COE bid successful ? If yes ....

Hmmm .. not sure if change of SE will be allowed since Mark has placed a deposit and gone thru the sales process with one already. Even if Mark changes SE, I suspect the former SE would have got the commission ... would it be fair to the new SE ?

But I still agree to speak to CS Mgr and made this known and see if promised items can be held valid ... as for the bank penalty, it is out of C&C's hands.

Instead of posting who is a bad SE, why not post the names of SEs who did a good or great job for us?

I just bought my wife a CLC 180. Actually wanted her to get the C180 CGI (I was DEAD set against the CLC), but thankfully, the SE worked with her and myself, and I'm actually quite happy with the choice at the end of the day.

It's a great little car, and since it's not common, it turns quite a few heads.

Anyway, this SE was not perfect, but he did do all the sums and explanations well, and did not over-promise anything. Plus he took all my nonsense (which was a LOT) and endless return viewing trips and test drives.

And he got me a GREAT deal on my trade-in.

Name: Jerry Lim.

Location: Alexander Road C&C.

Wow.... if everyone starts to indicate names of good SE, then this lousy SE that I encounter will be obvious since his name won't appear here!

Anyway, as I was talking to one of the SE who served me well previously, I got to know that most of the C&C SE read this forum, including those senior staff in C&C.

If you are the lousy SE who served me, or someone who use a similar tactics to grab quick sales but no ethics and trustworthiness to talk about..... BEWARE then.... as the next customer you serve may not be as nice as me and you may end up in hot soup or even lose your job.

Start practising good service and be ethical in your sales.... take good care of you customers (truthfully and not lip service.. or super lip service of what "extending all the way for you") and you will find that sales comes naturally with continuous referrals from good word of mouth.

Owners of Mercs who can afford to buy their cars at this price means that they have the ability to buy cars from your competitors as well, such as BMW, and the social and business network they have will provide you a steady flow of business/income - if you serve them well and truthfully.

Good Luck.

Mark

Mark, since you mention you do not want to kill SE career ... let go lor ... you have got your car, enjoy the ride, get poisoned and plan the next upgrade ? kekeke ..

To be honest, you might find his service downright appalling but someone else might find it quite alright ... no end to this discussion anyway.

For new buyers, maybe the catch is to be at ease and enjoy the pre-sales process, when ready to commit, make sure all promises are in black and white. Freebies will differ from one SE to another (generally) but at the end of the day, it's not for the freebies that makes you buy Merc right ?

Does not matter if I buy a Merc, Lexus, Honda Fit or Picanto, I expect to be treated right and not screwed around ... but we buyers have a part to play as well I suppose .. demanding the earth, sky and heavens can also turn off the sales-people.

If we think buying a Merc is big-deal, what about pple buying RR, Lambo, Ferrari or Porsche GT3 ?

Thanks for the comments.

You are right about the freebies.... no big deal, it is just that covering up of loan penalty and rebates as well as other miscommunications that started all the misunderstanding that make the experience awful.

Anyway, I don't think buying a Merc is big deal.... perhaps you misunderstood what I mean. What I am suggesting to any SE (may not be C&C SE) is that customers have choices on the cars they can buy, and there are equivalent or better cars that customers can choose as alternative. Having a loyal customer built on trust will help to create repeated purchases and referrals for more businesses, since a loyal customer will refer friends/relatives to buy from the same SE.

I am enjoying my ride... and this will be the last post in this thread... time to move on to something more productive.

Anyway, any W204 owners have interest in free luggage net and anti-slip mat can grab from me FOC!

Cheers,

Mark

I feel it is good practice to name (i.e. reward) good service. That way, we are encouraging the SEs.

Soon there will be a lot of changes in the Auto sales industry here, and SEs will come to value our comments on this forum.

Maybe our forum administrator can allocate a section of this forum specifically for positive feedback on SEs from all areas serving MB (i.e. not just C&C).

Either way, I'm glad Mark_twain88 got that load off his chest and can enjoy his car in peace - thanks to this forum.

I'm also glad that contributors like Raskie contribute their counsel and wisdom.

This is a good forum.

Hey Knights,

What man! "SE surname goh.." Only 2 such surnames in the list Anthony (Guy) and Pat (Girl), so no points for guessing.

As with everything in life, there's good and bad.....

Caveat Emptor (Let the buyer beware)! So a fair warning to all....... bring a piece of paper and a pen, and let the SE write down everything you will get.

And..... never fall for the sign up now and get special deal.... There is ALWAYS a special deal available for those who have the money to buy.
